I reached out to customer support, explained the problem and referenced the new design, and they weren’t keen to replace or repair for free — basically a shrug and no easy solution. I told a mate who’d been eyeing one and he walked away; I also flagged it in a forum so others wouldn’t waste time the way I did. There’s a bit of enthusiasm left — the chair itself has potential, and the new neck rest looks sensible — but that doesn’t change the fact I expected better after supporting a brand early. If you’re thinking about ordering, ask about returns and upgrades up front. I won’t be recommending Hinomi to friends who want a reliable purchase; too risky for now.
