    Gone-soft cushions

Customer service was pretty indifferent when I called; a real shame after saving up for ages, a bit annoyed really.

    Looks great, too firm

    Sat down for a film and realised straight away it's much firmer than you'd expect from a sofa. Delivery was ridiculously quick, and it looks great in the flat, I'll give it that, but daily lounging and naps are not comfy. Wish I'd tried it first — I'd probably have skipped buying, honestly.

    Properly chuffed with the sofa

    Honestly, I'm really chuffed with our new sofa — best decision. We hadn't heard of them so we drove to the showroom and that made all the difference. The salesperson was brilliant, walked us through fabrics and sizes, answered all our daft questions and didn't rush us. Delivery arrived spot on time, the crew were polite and they even popped it into place for us. Feels like good value and I'm genuinely pleased. If you're unsure, go and see it yourself — take a tape measure.

    the price-match that wasn't

    So there I was picturing cosy evenings on a new sofa listed at £1,800, then I find the exact same one elsewhere for £1,200 and think, job done — price match time. I sent the request, crickets for two days, then an email saying they can’t match it because it’s “not an approved supplier”. Weird, it’s literally the same sofa and a proper company on Companies House. Felt like the whole guarantee was a bit of theatre. Oddly though, the sofa itself is brilliant — proper comfy for telly and impromptu naps, even my WFH set-up works on it — and the delivery team were surprisingly friendly and efficient. Customer service let it down, but delivery and the product were a nice surprise.

    Colour clash, awkward to live with

    I was halfway through unwrapping the cushions when it hit me — the footstool definitely matched the pictures I’d seen, the sofa didn’t. A mate had spotted this style online and sent me the link, so I ordered the Azzuro sofa bed and footstool in what was advertised as mocha. Seven weeks later they turned up and the footstool is a warm mocha, lovely texture, sits nicely under my feet. The sofa though is a cool silver/grey, feels the same fabric but the room looks off, and it just doesn’t sit right with the footstool. It’s awkward to use together — I keep checking it, moving cushions, trying to make it look intentional. I’ve been waiting on their resolution for days; they admitted the colours differ and offered £70 to keep both, or a return/swap that sounds like a hassle. The sofa itself is comfy enough as a bed, the fabric feels decent, the footstool is sturdy, but the mismatch ruins the vibe. Bit disappointed and tired of back-and-forth emails, hoping they sort a fair solution without me hauling a sofa about.

    Wrong shade, missing bits, odd reassurance

On the plus side the delivery team were prompt and polite, they carried it in without fuss — so delivery itself was fine, that did relieve some stress. Still, the product listing vanished from the site before delivery, which made me uneasy. I wanted a solid, straightforward purchase and ended up chasing support, returning messages and double-checking everything. I did appreciate the delivery crew though, unexpected bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience.

    Sofa bed that split my doubts in two

    mostly used for telly in the evenings and the odd guest staying over. So I went ahead, half hopeful, half sceptical. Delivery was on time and the team put it where I asked, which I liked — no fuss, polite enough. First proper sit though and my doubts didn’t fade, they resurfaced. You can feel the frame through the padding. Not in a “a bit firm” way but as if there are wooden slats right under you (there are); you’re aware of them when you sit and definitely when you lie down. For daytime use, short bursts of sitting while checking email or watching a programme, it’s bearable. For an overnight guest or a proper lie-down it’s uncomfortable and not something I’d recommend for sleeping.
    I raised the issue with customer service and their initial reply was oddly defensive — treating it like my personal preference rather than a potential fault. I had to push back and quote the Consumer Rights Act 2015 before they agreed to an independent inspection. The inspector turned up and immediately said he could feel the frame through the foam; he was pretty blunt about it, actually. That confirmed my worst fears: the sofa is designed this way, which to me means it’s not fit for all the uses advertised (i.e. sleeping or comfy lounging). Communication with the retailer was slow and a bit circular — they kept suggesting I talk to the finance company, which isn’t right when you’re buying an item that might be below acceptable quality.
    In daily life now I use it as a short-term seat or for sitting with a cushion to hide the frame; it’s fine for quick use, honestly. It’s not broken in a traditional sense and it does sit together and function as a settee. But as a sofa bed — no, it fails where it counts for me. I’m continuing to pursue the return under my consumer rights; it’s not just picky complaining. So, useful if you only need a compact occasional sofa, disappointing if you expected a decent bed as well. Not perfect, does work to an extent, and the aftercare could be a lot better.

    The colour wasn’t the problem — well, it was, but not how I expected

    this was not the soft grey in the photos. It read almost black with a blue tint — they even commented it was a dark blue. That first feeling of “oh no” is hard to describe; it’s not just annoyance, it’s the sinking realisation you now have to live with something you didn’t want, and I’d already sold my old sofa because I’d assumed this would be fine. I called within half an hour and asked for a swap — beige, please, and take this one away — and emailed photos straight away. Plenty of evidence, multiple angles, the cushion that becomes the sofa bed in a totally different fabric (how does that happen?) and yet the replies came late in the evening, like after 8pm, which meant I couldn’t easily get into a proper back-and-forth when I was actually home and available. That made sorting anything feel clunky from the off.
    Communication was hit-and-miss. At times they were quick and helpful — which surprised me, and I admit I started to hope — but then it would drop off again for days. Two days after delivery they told me they couldn’t see the issue and that I was responsible for return costs unless the sofa was in exactly the same condition. I’ve got two dogs and a small child, and chronic back pain, so keeping it pristine under a throw was stressful in itself. I’d covered it, but you can’t guarantee nothing happens when you have to live on it because you’ve already sold the old one. I had to push hard, even mention ADR, before anyone seemed to take the problem seriously.
    A positive — and unexpected — moment came when someone actually came to inspect. The inspector agreed that the material looked odd, noted the brown/blue tone, spent ages photographing the mechanism (there’s a fault there too) and was quite thorough. That made me think maybe this would be resolved; after all, independent eyes, evidence, surely common sense. But then silence again. Post-inspection there’s been radio silence for a week despite me chasing twice. So that surprise plus is worth mentioning — it showed they do have a process and someone on the ground saw what I did — but the follow-through has been terrible.
    I’m not trying to be dramatic, but the whole thing became a logistical and physical nuisance: sofa under sheets for almost a week, nowhere comfortable to sit (bad for my back), awkward messages late at night, and the nagging fear that I’d be made to pay for a return of their mistake. I appreciate when a company responds quickly and owns up — that’s happened in patches here — but overall the responsibility and urgency felt lacking. It’s not just about colour, it’s about accountability and making the remedy simple when the product isn’t as advertised.
    If you’re thinking of buying, know this: double-check swatches in person if you can, be prepared to push if things go wrong, and don’t get caught out if you’ve already disposed of your old furniture. I wanted neutral, got a dark oddity, had the small relief of an inspector agreeing with me, but still no clear outcome. Mildly shocked that it’s dragged on this long, and a bit fed up. Still waiting on them to sort it properly.

    Bentley corner sofa

    I had my Bentley corner sofa delivered today and I have to say, the delivery men were really friendly. I was a bit surprised at first because the sofa came with a full back instead of the scatter back that was shown in the advertisement, but honestly, it doesn't bother me much. If a full back was an option, I probably would have gone for that anyway, especially with my lively 5-year-old who enjoys throwing cushions around.     I recently purchased a new sofa from this furniture shop and everything seemed great at first, but less than 3 months later, a huge tear suddenly appeared. I was completely shocked! On top of that, the delivery team managed to scratch my wooden floor when bringing it in. Not cool at all. When I raised these issues, they only offered me a £100 refund for a £2,500 sofa.
