I started using this hose and reel about eight years ago, on and off, and the first thing I noticed was how solid it felt — not flimsy like the ones you get in the supermarket. The reel retracts smoothly, the hose itself stays supple and doesn't turn into that nasty powdery mess after a couple of summers. I ended up buying a few more for friends over the years. One neighbour tried a cheaper copy and within two years it was useless, the outer layer coming away. Delivery was quick each time, which was handy. I've never had cause to contact customer service, so can't comment there, but overall I'm satisfied — reliable and it just works.
Not what I expected
isolation lever kept breaking, leaks popped up all over, and that bayonet with two odd O-rings made me raise an eyebrow. As an engineer with decades behind me, I wasn't pleased. I spent an afternoon tinkering — ball valve came loose, colours of o-rings mismatched — what a faff. Customer service took a couple of attempts but eventually sent replacements and offered a partial refund, so I'm grudgingly less annoyed now. Overall, still overpriced for the trouble, honestly.
Good reel, rubbish bracket
Not what I expected when I first saw it at my mate's. I bought a Hoselink Evolve last Christmas after he recommended it and the reel itself is actually very good — smooth winding, solid feel, fittings seem well made. Trouble is the plastic wall bracket they supply. Mounted it in the garage and over a few months it warped and the reel started to sag, no longer sits flush and swings away when you try to keep it tidy. They sent a replacement bracket and it did the same. Support offered a refund but wouldn't acknowledge a design fault, so service felt a bit halfhearted. I tipped my sister to get one and now I'm slightly embarrassed. All in all, good product let down by a poor mounting design.

A hose that does the job (mostly)
the sprayer nozzles had dodgy plastic bits and gave up sooner than I'd hoped, the hose reel began to rust and the paint flaked off within months and sorting a replacement was a right faff. Hand tools feel over‑priced for average quality. So — stick to hoses and connectors, but be wary of the rest.
