I picked up three Roma-style watches from a souvenir shop in Switzerland, mostly on a whim. They felt surprisingly solid on my wrist at first — nice weight, clean face, quite smart actually — and came with a three-year extended warranty, so I thought, why not. I wore one now and then over the year and then, annoyingly, the strap just snapped; another shows little cracks inside the leather. I’m a bit miffed that the warranty says leather is a ‘consumable’ so no help there. Still, they look good, cost next to nothing and I’ve kept using the third one I gifted — well, person liked it — so mixed feelings, but yeah, would buy again if I replace the straps.
Little travel buy, big fuss
Bought by my husband on a trip. I noticed a rusty tint on the dial and was annoyed, but customer service were brilliant — sent a replacement, resized the strap and it arrived quickly. The new face later cracked, which annoyed me, yet their helpfulness and fast delivery turned my scepticism into satisfaction; I still wear it every day.
First impressions and a few small gripes
there was no option at checkout to leave my wrist measurement, so the strap arrived unadjusted. I ended up trying to get it sized locally. First shop wanted £20 to do it, which I wasn’t expecting, so I went elsewhere and a different jeweller sorted it for free even though I hadn’t bought it there — very kind and surprising. I think it would be much better if the seller asked for wrist length when you order, or offered a pre-adjust option, that would save a lot of hassle. Aside from that, the quality seems genuinely Swiss — the finish, the little details — and the price felt fair for what you get. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants something a bit different without paying a premium. If you’re particular about fit, measure your wrist first or ask for a sizing option. Overall pleased, pleased enough to keep it, and I’ve had a few compliments already, so that was nice.
