I ordered one online at the end of November and at first it felt really clever — solid weight, nice finish, easy to hold. I started using it every day and after about two months the cap jammed; we got it repaired but less than three months later it stuck again. I asked for a replacement, they arranged collection after ten days, and then I heard nothing for over a month and a half. I kept chasing them and messages just stopped after they’d taken it away. It’s clearly a dodgy bit of design and I feel pretty ripped off — especially as I’d bought a second one as a present. Honestly, I’ve lost patience and just want my money back.
Oddly relieved but wary
I was halfway through making a brew when I spotted an unexpected debit from my account — not the best way to start the day. The parcel itself did turn up (on time, tidy enough), so I’m glad about the delivery, honestly. The trouble began with a faulty item and a promised refund that never materialised. I emailed, sent bank screenshots, they admitted there was a problem and said they’d look into it, but months passed with no real progress. Calling the customer service line was more frustrating than helpful; the reps were brusque, refused to escalate and on one call someone actually hung up on me (weird and a bit rude). At times they blamed banking glitches, then later said there was nothing on their side — which left me stuck between two stories. I’m pleased the package arrived and the courier did their job, but I wouldn’t trust them with card details (I’d advise not saving your card with them and using PayPal or a card you can cancel). If you buy here, keep a close eye on statements and chase everything in writing. Bit of a relief it ended without total disaster, but the service side needs a lot of work.
Pressing matters
it arrived on time, well packed, and the courier actually called when they said they would — rare these days. The iron itself glides, you can tell it was built properly, and the steam sort of powers through the annoying creases I always leave behind. What really sold it was the aftercare: I had a silly question about settings and customer service replied quickly, friendly, and actually helpful — none of that scripted nonsense. I went from “do I need this?” to smugly recommending it over a cuppa. Minor quibble: the instructions could be a tad clearer, but nothing that spoils the experience. Overall, a solid buy, especially if delivery and decent support matter to you.
