Gifts that never quite landed 29 April 2026

cheap price, mixed reviews, and I bought early to tick gifts off the list. Still, the seller promised a one-year guarantee, so I told myself not to worry. That worry turned out to be sensible. Two of the five items I ordered were dead on arrival. One of them I wrapped and gave away; it didn’t work and that’s where the fun began. Contacting the company felt like being sent on a scavenger hunt — lots of emails back and forth, them asking me to post the item back at my cost, which I did because I wanted it sorted. They confirmed receipt and said they’d replace it, then… silence. I chased them multiple times, got shrugged at and basically told to talk to UPS. At one point a manager was brusque to the point of being rude and suggested I should just buy another one with a “discount” if I wanted. Not helpful. It’s a small thing in the grand scheme, but it’s frustrating when you put effort into gifts and then have to police a guarantee yourself. I’m left annoyed and a bit wary — I won’t be buying more from them, and I’d warn anyone else to think twice unless you like surprises that don’t work.
