Standing by the cold hearth, I popped the flicker LEDs in and it actually looks warmer — not real flames, but better than the dark embers. Delivery was same-week, though the box was a bit crushed. Had worse experiences with other sellers, so glad this one mostly did the job and it feels cosy.
Evening lights that started well, then faded
I first noticed the columns in our car park at Hampson Court back in late 2022 — our house manager ordered two from The Glow Company. For a while I was quietly pleased; I remember the first night they worked and thinking, yes, this actually makes a difference. I even told a couple of neighbours to look out for them. But the mood changed. One unit went in March 2024 and was replaced, which was okay, but the second packed up at the end of 2025 and getting anyone to quote for a repair has been a right faff — Glow and the maker have been slow or absent. They suggested the location and tree cover caused it; fair enough, there are shrubs and a deciduous tree nearby, though the laurel is trimmed. So — not perfect, and a bit annoying on aftercare, but when they work they do the job. Buyer beware, but it’s not a total write-off.
Good delivery, poor customer care
I was halfway through unboxing when I remembered why I'd rushed the order — my autistic cousin needed sensory bits after their originals failed. Delivery was actually quick and packaging fine, which I liked, but the refund exchange was handled poorly; the messages from support felt rude and unprofessional, a real shame.
Nostalgic find
Found these for old memories; needed replacements after a move and dodgy past orders. Delivery arrived late, customer service polite and sorted a missing pack pleased.
Missing bits, sorted
Halfway through setting them up I noticed a couple of pendants missing, so I assumed a hassle. Customer service replied fast, sent replacements by post, delivery was prompt. Now they brighten evenings on my patio, pleased.
Sunday gamble paid off
I browsed the site on Sunday evening and loved the bright, simple layout so I placed an order. It arrived late despite paying for next-day and my email went unanswered, but the product itself was spot on.
Finally some proper calm
Waking at three again, I tried one of these on my son — and, blimey, proper sleep. He's calmer, not zonked, just settled. We've tried other brands that fizzled; this one actually works, surprisingly gentle and reliable.
Payment hiccup, later fixed
Paid via Sage Pay and never got sent back to the site. Reloading did nothing, it felt like the site had vanished. I use this for my daily lunch. Support replied next day, sorted it; delivery fine.
Quietly impressed
Bought this because my bad back needed proper support and I almost didn't order — worried it'd be stiff or flimsy. Turns out swapping one item was dead easy, lovely chat, feels much better now.
Quick swap, no fuss
I ordered a fish nightlight for my grandson; the first arrived broken. I rang expecting hassle, but a polite woman apologised and sent a replacement straight away — that's when I knew I was satisfied, he uses it nightly.
Molten bedside friend
I put it on my bedside table and spotted a scratch inside the glass — annoying — but they sent a perfect replacement straight away, no faff. Now it sits on every evening while I make tea, and I’m properly chuffed.
Trailer lights that actually do the job
I was a bit unsure at first — saw these on a mate’s festival trailer and he recommended them. Ordered online, arrived fast and intact. Not flawless (no batteries, which we expected), but they sit nicely on the trailer and work really well.
Nearly didn't bother
Sat on my sofa, half expecting another no‑show, I rang at about 5pm after a different firm messed up. A mate had sent the glow.co.uk link, I was sceptical but phoned last minute — order arrived by 10am next day. Properly impressed, website was dead easy and the team were helpful, my doubts evaporated, honestly.
Left sceptical, pleasantly surprised
nicer and sturdier than I thought, colour spot on. Only gripe: the box was a bit battered.
That switch-on moment
Switching them on was the moment I knew I'd made the right call. I spotted the site after a mate sent a link; I rang about fairy lights — staff were sound. They arrived next day, packed well. One string was a bit tangled and a bulb slightly dim, but overall brilliant.
Disco ducks mixed bag
Bath halfway through and I noticed two of the three little disco ducks had stopped lighting — bit of a facepalm since they weren't cheap. My lad still loved the one that works, though, and the music's fine. If they'd lasted a bit longer I'd be happier; maybe stick to cheaper ones?
Worth the upgrade
Really happy — the second set I bought are brilliant. First I tried some cheap motion LEDs that didn't work, but Glow sent a return label and refunded straight away, which I appreciated. So I treated myself to the pricier ones from them, arrived quickly, nicely packaged and doing the job.
Nearly there, then stuck
I ordered LED lights for my wheels in May and noticed in July that I’d put the wrong house number on the form. Neighbour never got anything. Company replied a couple times and said they’d resend once the post came back, but they’ve taken the money and I’ve been waiting two and a half months. It's frustrating — I’ve had quicker fixes from smaller sellers, and oddly their last email sounded polite.
Thought it was a gimmick
I wasn't sure at first — seemed a bit gimmicky, but I'm properly chuffed I ordered. The windmills turned up quickly, neatly packed in recyclable stuff, and weirdly they actually keep the pigeons out of the garden, which was the whole point. Kids loved them at the birthday do too. Ordering was dead easy. My only wish is more colour choices, otherwise really happy with it.
Nice kit, dodgy cashback
cashback claim ignored, follow-up shrugged off and, to be blunt, denied. So, eh, product is fine, delivery top, but don't expect any cashback miracles from their end.
