I was ready to bin the whole thing after two large orders were cancelled weeks in. I’d ordered in early April and first impression was a mess — stock info seemed wrong and there were no clear updates. Then someone actually rang, sorted replacements and the second delivery turned up complete. That’s when I felt properly satisfied, relieved even. Not perfect, still clunky, but glad it worked out in the end.
Mid-install rescue
Halfway through fitting the Lutec motion detector I realised the leaflet was useless — tiny print, loads of languages, hardly any English. I first spotted it on Wickes' site and even passed the link to a mate. I rang customer support and Pippa was brilliant, she emailed a clear English guide in no time. Felt sceptical to start, but pleased now.
Fussy setup, great bloke
I spotted this security light in a discount outlet and picked it up because it looked sturdy. Trouble started when it wouldn’t connect to my WiFi — maddening. The outlet staff were helpful but couldn't sort it, so they passed me on to a chap, Rick at Lutec. I wasn’t expecting much, but he was patient and talked me through everything until it clicked and the thing lit up. Told my neighbour. Bit annoyed by the setup fuss, but impressed by Rick’s old‑fashioned customer care.
