don’t rely on their European operation right now. I ordered a board on Black Friday (around £600) because my old one croaked and I needed something for my commute — had two great Meepo boards in 2020 and 2024, so I trusted them. They took my money next day (rather efficient, suspiciously so) and then customer support started with the “in transit to EU warehouse, in stock next week” line — weeks of promises, missed dates, excuses. They won’t refund and wave some .net/.com nonsense. Bit of a shock seeing a firm I liked go dodgy, though I’ll give credit: the earlier boards were actually excellent, which is what made this all the more annoying.
Relief at the end of a slow saga
no tracking, no customs papers, customer support went quiet and my order even disappeared from the account. I checked every morning, kept hoping. It was annoying. Then suddenly a tracking number showed up and a courier turned up. That moment — when I opened the box and the board worked straight away — that’s when I felt satisfied. Not flawless. The communication was poor and the wait dragged. It’s great for short commutes though; solid ride. If they sorted updates this would be an easy five. I’d buy again, but with caution.
Canal-side hiccup
sent spares and guidance straight away so we were back riding within a day. The deck itself is pleasant to ride — lightish for what it is, lively acceleration, trucks feel forgiving and predictable, carries my 70kg without drama and my daughter absolutely adores it. I've had worse after-sales with other brands, so this was a relief. I'd still like a slimmer, lighter version in future — smaller battery, lighter trucks, that sort of thing — and better battery management would be welcome. Not perfect, but genuinely glad it worked out and I'd buy another.
Regretful buy, with one bright spot
I wouldn't buy this board again. I bought it because I needed a reliable commute after a bad back flare — thought an electric board would save my knees — but it's been mostly unusable. It worked a handful of times, then started cutting out mid-ride and once I was thrown off when power dropped. Support has been poor: multiple messages, two replacement batteries sent, no fix, and vague promises about parts that never turn up. After months they refused a refund even though the board clearly isn't fit for purpose, which was frustrating and disappointing. The one positive is that when it did run the ride felt surprisingly smooth and solid; I liked the deck and motors when they worked. Still, being stuck hundreds of pounds down for something I can't rely on is rough. Mild surprise at the hardware but overall a bad experience, so I'd warn others to be cautious.
