Halfway through my first proper commute I noticed the throttle felt a bit sluggish — odd, because out of the box it was nice and snappy. I first saw this scooter in a mate’s shed and ended up buying one after he kept raving about the ride. Standing on the deck feels steady, it’s compact enough for city lanes and the brakes are reassuring. The battery did start playing up after a few months though, which was annoying. I emailed customer support and they sorted it quicker than I expected, so that was a relief. Overall I’d recommend it, just don’t be surprised if you need to chase warranty.
Sceptical then convinced
I wasn't sure at first — price looked too good to be true, and I'd had rubbish from cheaper brands before. Still, the scooter I bought from Megawheels arrived with neat packaging and a surprisingly solid feel; not flashy, just well put together. After six months of using it most days, nothing's fallen apart and the battery still holds up better than I expected. That gave me enough confidence to try their e-bike; similar story — decent finish, sensible components, no odd noises. Customer service was straightforward when I had a minor query, which is rare. Overall, doubts faded; a pleasant surprise, really. I'll most likely buy from them again.
Rainy-ride revelation
I didn't expect to enjoy a cheap scooter this much, honestly — took it out on a wet Tuesday and it felt solid, surprisingly smooth over kerbs (not too bumpy), and the throttle response is nice and immediate. The deck is roomy enough for my feet, handlebars sit at a comfy height and you feel in control rather than wobbling about. Battery lasts a decent day of short trips, though I'd say top-up charging in between rides keeps it happier, and it's actually fun to nudge through traffic. Customer support was plain helpful when I asked a quick question, so glad I bought it. Would recommend for city scooting.
Three scooters, saved by service
I didn't expect to be that chuffed with a simple scooter, honestly, but here we are. Bought one originally for my tween so they'd have something to do on weekends and to nip to the corner shop — they loved it so much we ended up getting two more for the adults. One scooter needed a new deck after a knock; couldn't find the part anywhere online. I messaged Megawheels through their website and got straight to a human, Jessie, who actually sorted it. Proper helpful, asked the right questions, found the exact replacement and sent it out quickly. It made the whole thing painless and kept us riding, so I'm well pleased — customer service really saved the day.
