Putting plates away last week I noticed a drawer that just wouldn’t run smoothly — ended up discovering the runners are different sizes so some drawers stick and others rattle. I had these fitted in a small kitchen refit, so I use them every day for pots and food, and that mismatch is annoying. Delivery was late and some doors were missing, which meant I couldn’t finish unpacking for ages. Customer service has been slow to sort the real problems; they've offered door replacements but haven’t fixed the missing drill holes or carcass depths properly. On the plus side they did dispatch parts quickly once chased, so it’s usable now, just not ideal.
A quiet surprise
one hinge needed a tiny tweak, but it was minor. Price felt fair given the quality, though not cheap. I'm really pleased with how it looks. We'll use them again for the spare bedroom next year and I'd recommend them.
Almost bespoke, but not quite
dust everywhere, extra time, awkward trimming in the hallway, and a faint sinking feeling that I’d done all the work you’d expect the maker to do. I had to buy a rail saw for about £160 to get things to fit, which is annoying — I’ve used proper bespoke companies before and you’d never have to do that yourself. I did speak to the company and they said the parts matched their drawings, so no refund. Fair, maybe, but it didn’t match what I was told at the start. Overall it’s usable now and looks fine, but the process was stressful and cost me more. I’d be interested if they want to sort it out properly.
A decent wardrobe — just mind the mid-rail quirk
I needed a fitted wardrobe because we moved into an old house with wonky floors and limited space, and I wanted something that actually looked built-in without paying for a full bespoke carpenter. I’m the kind of person who’s done a fair few flatpack installs over the years, kitchens and bedroom stuff, so I thought I’d be fine doing this myself. In the end the wardrobe looks good and works well, but there are a few moments where I felt a bit annoyed — mostly because of one odd detail that’s easily noticed if you’re fussy about looks.
Finally makes the mornings easier
the fitter came back one rainy morning, hung the correct doors and adjusted the shelves properly. I stood there with a cup of tea, pulling out shirts and thinking, actually, this is sorted. Seems small, but it changed the way I use the bedroom — everything is organised now, the kids' coats have a proper place, my work shirts don't crease on the floor anymore. The finish isn't posh, it's practical, and the price matches that. I appreciate that they stuck with it and fixed their mistakes in the end — they apologised and followed through, finally. Would I rave about them? No. Am I glad it ended up working for daily life? Yes, definitely. So mixed experience but ultimately I'm satisfied.
