I was actually just passing the Colliers Wood shop and thought I’d pop in — glad I did. Monica took time to check what I really needed (not pushy), and the optometrist was properly thorough. The moment I first put the glasses on and looked at the high street — that little jolt of clarity — I knew they’d got it right. Monica steered me away from needless extras and picked lenses that did the job without ridiculous cost, which I appreciated. My wife helped with frames and we both liked the patient, plain-speaking approach. Slightly odd fitting at first (took a day to settle) but overall pleased and I’ve already told a mate to try them.
Seen them on a mate, bit sceptical
I saw these on a mate first and he tipped me to buy online. Website looked a bit shambolic and I couldn't track the order properly, calls went unanswered — so that part was annoying. When they arrived, though, they actually sit nicely on the nose, not too heavy, lenses are clearer than I expected and the hinges feel reasonably solid, if a touch stiff at first. Not perfect — there’s a tiny bit of leftover glue inside one arm, I noticed it later — but overall they do the job and are comfy enough for daily wear.
Handy kit, awkward checkout
product use and feel get a thumbs up, it does what it should and I’ve been using it daily, but the customer contact and checkout need work. Small hiccups, but the actual item makes them bearable. I’ll probably reorder, just I’ll double-check things and maybe call straight away if confirmation doesn’t appear.
Bit of a surprise, but great service
courier rang and arrived a day earlier than expected, everything was neatly boxed and there was even a little screwdriver and cleaning cloth tucked in. So, check prices online if you want, but for clear communication, friendly service and quick delivery this branch did well.
Worth the wait, mostly
communication could be clearer and they should state dispatch times, but the product matches expectations and the price was fair. If you’re picky about waiting, be prepared, otherwise it’s fine.
Nearly bought twice, glad I didn't panic
ordered online later that evening and the parcel arrived sooner than I expected, so straight away I could tell this was one of those occasions that turns out better than you think. The shop itself felt modern and bright, staff friendly and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience feel relaxed rather than pushy. Having said that, there are some oddities with prices and the website which are worth flagging, but I’ll start with the good bits because they mattered. Delivery was spot on — quick, well packaged and easy to track; I was happy to get my new pair two days earlier than the estimate, which was a lovely surprise. Customer service, especially in-store, was the real highlight: patient, willing to explain lens options, and helpful when I rang to ask about a discrepancy between what I saw online and in the shop. For that alone I was grateful. Now the not-quite-perfect bits — the in-store tags are often much higher than the online listings, and the in-store “up to” sale is a bit vague unless you pop in; same frames aren’t always available online either, which is annoying if you’re browsing from home. The website itself reads like it’s been translated on autopilot in places, and I had to re-enter my prescription a few times because the ‘save’ function didn’t really work for me. Also, if you like a fancier 1.67 lens like I do, that option wasn’t obvious in any of the packages; I had to call to clarify. Still, those niggles didn’t ruin the overall feeling — the friendly service, the free repair in-store and the quick delivery balanced it out. So yeah, not perfect, but pleasantly surprising where it counts: people and getting the glasses to me on time. I’ll go back because the staff were genuinely useful and the delivery was reliable, even if I’ll double-check prices and lens options before committing next time.
A long drive that paid off
it would be handy if they offered a reminder text for revisit dates or an option to pre-book the parking. Overall, service and repairs were top notch. I’ll go back in 2026 for the next check. For anyone unsure about making the trip — factor in the travel, but expect solid customer service when you get there.
Eye glass
My grandma needed a pair of glasses to assist her sight. We purchased a pair of glasses from the Optical center. She loved it and it worked effectively. Well packaged to avoid it from being damaged so easily. Nice designs granny commented on and would love to purchase more. The glasses were less pricey and the delivery was quite fast. I ordered some pairs of sunglasses a few months ago because summer is close and the sun could be a bit too hot for my eye. I have gotten my orders and I overall loved it. The design was unique and would prevent my eyes from the sun.
