I thought ordering the 1200mm pre-painted panels would make the job fairly straightforward, but the delivery contained unpainted ones instead. Customer service said the price difference would be refunded, though I’m still waiting for that. To make things worse, several panels were slightly different lengths, so we ended up trimming around 10mm off. It did eventually fit, but honestly it created work I was trying to avoid.
Took a chance on it
I was a bit unsure about ordering made-to-measure wall panelling online, mainly because measurements can go wrong so easily. It’s now up in our hallway and, honestly, it’s made the space feel much less plain. Our carpenter was pleasantly surprised by the finish and the fittings were straightforward. Not the cheapest option, but it arrived quicker than expected.
Backboard gamble paid off
I wasn't sure — had used them once before for hallway panelling so I gave them another go for a bedroom revamp. Needed a tidy way to put two-way switches for bedside lights without hacking into plaster (bad back, can't be bending over chasing wires). I rattled up 18mm battens at about 30cm centres, used the kit to build a neat headboard-backdrop. Delivery came in three days, all bits included, and customer service were really helpful — answered a daft question or two. Started sceptical, ended properly glad — simple, solid kit.
More hassle than help
Not great overall — I cancelled in the end. I ordered because the site showed it in stock and I needed it quickly, but after a few days they rang to say it wasn’t available. Then, weeks later, same story and no idea when stock would return. They suggested a replacement that wasn’t what I wanted, so I cancelled. The team were polite about the cancellation but I only got a partial refund and no explanation. Bit annoying, but I did find a cheaper, better alternative, so that saved the day a bit.
