Halfway through setting up the garden for spring, I nearly talked myself out of ordering the 8x12 shed. It felt like a big purchase and I worried support might disappear after payment. Thankfully, that hasn’t been the case at all. I ordered earlier this week, got a helpful reply almost straight away, and part of the delivery turned up within a couple of days. The rest is already tracked, which is reassuring. First impression is genuinely really good, and I’m glad I took the chance. Can’t wait to get it built.
Damaged parts sorted quickly
I’d happily use Patiowell again. A few panels arrived scuffed from transit, which was a bit annoying at first, but support dealt with it properly and sent replacements without any back and forth. The two Fit-it sheds were fairly straightforward to assemble and fit neatly beside the house. They look better than expected, actually. We’ve had less helpful responses from other companies before, so this stood out.
Saturday shed session
panels felt sturdy and neat, but one small metal bracket was missing, so I stalled. A few calls and photos later, responses were slow, which was annoying, but in the end they did send the part. The proper turning point was when I finally slotted the last bracket in and the door lined up — I actually smiled. Not perfect, but pleased I can use it now.
Missing bits, but the shed stands

The shed that nearly did me in
the instructions might as well have been for a different model, bits referred to that simply weren't in the box and I spent an afternoon guessing which panel went where. In a gale the whole thing wobbled like jelly. Customer support? They shrug—“we only sell them” was the reply—so I emailed and waited, two weeks before hearsay that a panel was missing. Eventually the replacement arrived after a couple of months, and yes, once upright it does keep things dry, but the build feels flimsy. Not a total disaster, but not what I hoped for.
Worth the hassle, mostly
no instructions in the box, and I had to nag customer support to email them (took two days). The PDF was a bit clumsy to follow, not great, and they even sent the wrong bag of screws — a whole 240-count set missing and replaced by useless ones. I phoned, sent order details, they promised to send replacements, then radio silence for a few days. At one point they offered £20 to buy local parts, which, frankly, wouldn't have covered it. After a bit more pushing they did ship the correct screws with a 2–3 week ETA. Annoying, yes, but once the right bits arrived and I got stuck in, the build went surprisingly well and the finished shed looks and feels solid. So, not perfect, but stick with it if you can be patient — I'm glad I did, really. It's saved me time with storage and my neighbours approve, honestly.
