Half fixed, mostly avoidable mess 10 March 2026

the whole purchase was mishandled, though they did make some attempt to put things right afterwards. I expected a smooth order — it was meant to be a present — and that’s the bottom line: they failed at the basic promise of delivering on time. To explain why: I ordered on 3 August for a gift needed on 20 August. That’s plenty of lead time for an EU delivery that claims 3–5 working days. Instead, a month later the item hadn’t even been shipped and the tracking number they gave didn’t work because, apparently, nothing had been dispatched. I chased them by email a few times, got silence for a week, then a shaky reply and a non-functioning DHL tracking code. Not great.
What made it worse was the money thing — my card was debited the same day and the funds moved across on 7 August, so I was out of EUR 1899 and had no product, no clear timeline, and no refund despite asking. I had to buy a replacement gift last minute, which was annoying and costly. If this had been some unknown seller, I would have assumed scam; it being an official store made it all the more surprising.
On a slightly more positive note, after I initiated a chargeback the phone turned up the next day, delivered by a different courier. The company then apologised, said they’d moved platform and logistics partners, and sent a fairly decent goodwill gift. So yes, they did something that a normal company should do — apologise and compensate — and I appreciate that. Still, this is damage control rather than a tidy service from the start.
For context, I’ve ordered similar items from other reputable brands in the past with no drama, so this felt like a real drop in standards. Overall: avoid relying on their stated delivery times for time-sensitive gifts, follow up relentlessly, and don’t assume money equals product. They corrected course a bit, but the initial failures cost me time and money, so exercise caution.
