I first came across these shoes on the retailer’s site and nearly ordered them straight away, although I did wonder how well the diamante would hold up. That concern turned out to be justified, sadly. When the pair arrived, several rhinestones were already loose and there was a brown-looking liquid on the soles before I’d even tried them on. The real surprise was a card inside saying they accept no return liability for lost stones because they’re delicate. I hadn’t seen that warning on the product page, and I would not have bought them if I had. I also left a review on their website with a photo of the card, but it never appeared. It all felt a bit off, really.
Shoes never arrived and the refund process made it worse
I would not order from Public Desire again after this, mainly because the shoes never reached me and getting a clear answer or a proper refund turned into a long, exhausting mess. I ordered a pair specifically for a Christmas ball, thinking I had left enough time, and instead I ended up with no shoes, no replacement option, and a lot of back-and-forth that honestly felt like nobody was properly reading what I was saying. It was meant to be a straightforward purchase, around $50 including delivery, but it became far more stressful than it should ever have been.
