    Label limbo

I spotted this outfit via a bargain thread on a forum and, on a whim, bought a scanner to replace my ancient one. Website promised 3–6 days and shipping from Germany — sounded legit. After three days I asked for an update and got a tracking number that cheerfully said "label created". Three more days, still "label created". Eventually someone emailed saying it would ship "one day" — no date, no year, no clue. The stuck tracking was maddening and, to be fair, the customer replies felt like they were reading from a script. It did arrive in the end and works fine, but the whole tracking dance made me nervous and slow.

    Unexpectedly useful despite shaky tracking

I didn't expect to be scanning trainers and insoles to sort a nagging lower-back issue, but I needed decent scans for custom orthotics. I'd bought the Pop2, Range and Mini and, yeah, at first they kept losing track every few seconds — and when it picked up again you got messy doubled surfaces. I tried sprays, markers, different lighting, the lot. After I contacted customer support (surprisingly helpful and quick) they sent a replacement part and gave useful tips, and that made a real difference. Delivery was quick too, which mattered because I was on a deadline. I started sceptical, then slowly felt better about it. Dark or shiny surfaces still trouble it, but once it's behaving the models are usable.

The vanishing scanner (and my patience)

send it back unopened for a refund but I’d pay £22 postage. Fine, I thought, bit awkward but okay. Weeks turned into nearly two months of checking a shipping status that never changed and getting vague replies. At one point they told me to wait ten days because everyone was on holiday; that was frustrating, but weirdly the refund did show up in the end. The annoying bit is the interest I accrued on my card during the whole saga — easily avoidable if they’d just cancelled it first time. I emailed asking for compensation for that interest (half as a test of their ethics, half because I wanted my money) and… crickets. So yes, the refund arrived — a small surprise — but the whole runaround left a sour taste.

    Not worth the email marathon

they did finally confirm I’d be refunded if I returned it, and they logged the return as received — small relief, I admit. Still, it’s been over a week since they got it and no refund yet, so back to more emails. Compared to other companies I’ve dealt with (where a refund was quick), this felt unnecessarily slow and a bit amateur. Glad it wasn’t a waterproofed disaster, but annoyed it took so long and cost me time.
