the refund did arrive, just not without faff.
Wrong lens, wasted wait
Not worth the wait — I ended up with a fixed 50x lens, despite being advised to pre-order a 3–50x telephoto by support. That’s my conclusion up front. I’d been waiting since Black Friday and after three delays the parcel turned up on 14 January 2025 with a different spec, and support’s explanation was that the labelling was a mistake. It felt like being passed the buck. The image quality isn’t great either, noticeably worse than cheaper options I’ve bought elsewhere. I’ve had better service from other retailers, so this was doubly disappointing. I’m not angry, just frustrated — had higher expectations for what they sell as their top mobile lens. It’s a pity — could have been avoided. Really annoying to waste time and money.
