roomy enough for phone, purse and keys, the strap is comfy, the woven bit sits nicely on your shoulder. It’s simple, neutral, and the zip felt secure too, light and easy to grab for errands. My tip: add a note about access codes if you’ve got one, saves a round trip. Quite pleased overall.
Worth the wait
I wasn't sure about buying a statement crossbody online. The photos looked fine, but I kept worrying about size and whether dark navy would actually work day to day. I got the Downton XL a few days ago and used it straight away for errands and a couple of meetings. First impression was solid — weighty in a reassuring way and the leather feels proper, not that thin stuff. It holds what I need without bulging. It arrived with two metal chain straps and the matching leather strap, plus the option to swap in fabric straps if I want. Delivery was quick, service polite, and there was a dust bag. My doubts pretty much disappeared after one day.
Little splurge, big grin
Bought this after a rubbish week — needed a pick-me-up, so I treated myself to the navy bag. I was half-expecting the usual online let-down but the bag actually looks and feels proper good (the extra straps and key ring were a lovely surprise). Customer service answered a silly question quickly, too. Delivery was quick, which helped my impatience, and the stitching feels solid. Took me a day to stop poking the pockets, bit smug now.
