I was steaming when the glasses turned up late and I was already abroad — and then FedEx slapped on a £40 charge for two pairs (paid £226). I'd been burned by other firms before. The point I relaxed was when customer service apologised and offered a partial refund — felt like they cared, I'm pleased.
Small victory on a sunny day
unpacking the case on a sunlit afternoon after a hectic international move. I’d been hunting solid sunglasses because my eyes really play up in bright light and my last pair was awful — scratched lenses and floppy arms. These felt different straight away: neat finish, weight in the right place, lenses that cut glare. The customer rep sorted the paperwork when customs tripped us up, patient and helpful, which was a relief. Not perfect — shipping took a touch longer than I liked — but overall I’m pleased, will buy from them again and grateful it all turned out so well.
Nearly-right frame
Halfway through getting ready for my interview I realised I'd been duped — looked gorgeous in the photos, but I did worry before buying and that worry hung around. Needed something sturdy after a previous pair fell apart, so I took a chance. The frame looks smart but it's loose, like a shop display tried on by dozens. Bit annoyed, bit resigned — not the luxury check I expected.
