Halfway through the second heavy shower I realised this wasn't the miracle waterproof coat I'd been sold. I first saw it on a mate's recommendation and then ordered online — delivery was actually fast and that mattered. Customer service replied when I complained and refunded part of the price, which I appreciated, but they also said it can't cope with heavy rain and won't accept returns for 'performance' reasons. I ended up wet underneath on two stormy mornings, yet in the end I'm relieved they offered something back; could have been worse, and delivery and reply were decent and polite.
Seemed like a returned item
I unpacked it last weekend and it looked like it had been turned inside out — the fabric was reversed around the rails. Bit odd, so I took the four hub-and-rod assemblies apart, turned the blind the right way round and reassembled them. It works fine now, but one of the side curtain hooks was missing; there was a bit of fabric tied where the hook should be, so someone had clearly bodged it before. Overall the blind itself is fine, reasonably made, but I'm not impressed with the checks before restocking. Delivery arrived on time and intact in the box, but handling of returns and inspection by customer service seems lax. Mildly annoyed, and I’d expect better quality control.
Not the smoothest delivery, but the item itself did the job
the protection service actually worked, prompt and professional. The battery itself arrived after I reordered and when I first tried it, it performed exactly as expected — decent power, no drama. I'm glad that part went well, honestly. Still, I won't forget the way Tidewe handled the missing parcel; it left me frustrated and a bit mistrustful. In short: product okay, protection service helpful, main customer service and delivery process need improvement. Might buy again only if there's solid proof of delivery next time.
Slightly bumpy but worthwhile
said out of stock, then back in stock, then backordered with a very loose shipping window. The bit that annoyed me most was being asked to install some random "Shop" app to track the order — felt unnecessary for a one-off purchase and frankly intrusive. Anyway, after a month of waiting it did arrive, late for the season but solid. The jacket itself is good quality, warms up properly and my son hasn’t shut up about it — a proper win. So yeah, communication and tracking were messy, but the product delivers. Mildly frustrating experience overall, but would consider buying from them again if they sort the service side out.
