I spotted this belt on a mate's Instagram and thought, why not — looked smart and not OTT. My main worry was the metal against my skin, I often react to cheap hardware, but at first it behaved fine so I was hopeful. I wore it to a few meetings, then to a proper do in a suit and, honestly, that weekend was the turning point. Midway through the evening I caught myself checking my phone and actually noticed the belt still looked as neat as when I put it on. That’s when I realised I could stop worrying about it scratching or discolouring, which is a tiny relief but a real one for me.
I like that it sits comfortably with a suit but is casual enough for jeans — I’ve been switching it between both and it doesn’t scream “trying too hard”. The clasp didn’t irritate me like other ones have, and the finish has held up through a few long days at the office. There are tiny marks if you look up close — inevitable, right — but nothing that bothers me in day-to-day use. I also tipped my sister to get one and she’s been pleased too, so that’s reassuring.
Ordering was straightforward, delivery arrived sooner than I’d expected, and when I had a quick question by email the reply was polite and actually helpful, not the canned stuff you dread. Overall I’m pleasantly surprised and quietly grateful it worked out — it’s one of those small purchases that just makes getting dressed a bit easier. Will probably buy another colour at some point.
