lost money, dodgy company. That was my first impression. I stuck with it because I'd read mixed reviews and wanted to give them a chance. About three weeks after ordering, the parcel suddenly appeared — delivery was surprisingly quick once they actually dispatched. The machine itself works well for what I need and setup was straightforward, though I had a few questions. Customer service redeemed them: initially poor at replying, but once I escalated via the online chat someone actually called me back, apologised and sorted a partial refund for the weeks of delay (odd, but fair). I started using the machine straight away for small prototypes and the cuts were clean; I was pleasantly surprised. So the experience went from "don't touch" to "not ideal, but OK". Would I buy again? Probably, but only with clearer stock info and quicker replies. Lesson learnt — chase early and keep records.
Vanishing act, refund eventually
poor communication and slow delivery, but refund eventually sorted — just not the smooth experience I hoped for.
Doesn’t do pens like the vids promise
this won’t engrave pens with the built‑in rotary — that was my main reason for buying, so I’m gutted. I first saw it on YouTube and a mate sent me the link, said “looks perfect for pens” — turns out the videos are pretty misleading. The unit needs about a 50mm focus distance so you can’t get the laser low enough for a slim pen; I tried multiple times with the rotary fixed in place and even when I dropped the head as far as it would go the dot was still too big. If I’d known that I’d have cancelled or returned it, but I’d already chucked the boxes away and felt stuck. Customer support was slow and unhelpful on email and Facebook messenger — lots of chasing from my side. I eventually got the accessories I ordered but they arrived in two different parcels from different countries after repeated reminders, which was a faff. I’m annoyed I’ve probably wasted about £420, tempted to bin the thing, but slightly relieved it’s not a fire hazard or completely broken. Overall: useful for some jobs, but don’t expect it to match the pen engraving demos.
Not worth the gamble
refund sorted thanks to the bank.
Support is a shambles, but the kit does work
hardware seemed fine, set-up mostly straightforward. Then I hit a snag and tried to support route. They use WhatsApp for support and the replies were patchy; someone would answer, then vanish for ages. I got an automated email about an "account upgrade" and that number being unavailable — three weeks later, still nothing. Because of a 13-hour time difference I had to bundle questions together, and apparently that confuses them: they’d pick one tiny thing to answer and ignore the rest. The English in the docs is awkward too, so I wasted time guessing. To be fair, when I did get a reply it sometimes solved the problem, so it’s not useless — just slow and annoying. I eventually stopped chasing and fixed a workaround myself. If you don’t mind a bit of patience and tinkering, go for it; if you want prompt, clear customer service, look elsewhere.
