I was a bit wary ordering this — seemed odd paying a bit more for a German sticker — but I needed it quickly so I gave it a go. Ordered on Wednesday lunchtime and it arrived in the UK within two days, really quick. Customer service messaged about a paperwork hiccup and answered within minutes, which calmed me right down. Yes it costs more than going direct, but the ease and speed made it worth it, would use again.
Saved a bit of hassle at the border
Driving up to Switzerland with a sore back, I didn't want to hang around at the crossing so I ordered the vignette from Vignetteshop in advance. The site tells you the admin fee up front, which I appreciated — some other places only show it at the last moment. The charge seemed reasonable, certainly cheaper than the official tourist site which was about £20. The digital vignette worked as expected, no faff at the border, and I'm pleased it was straightforward.
Think twice before paying
they emailed a printable temporary vignette to stick inside the windscreen and the proper sticker arrived within a week — actually pretty slick. It's a small faff to track down the government pages, but not hard, and it saved me a decent amount compared to the reseller's convenience charge. If you're in a rush, fine, pay extra, but if you don't mind five minutes of digging, do it yourself. Honestly, I wish the reseller were clearer about that; it's only honest to know what you're really buying.
That quiet relief moment
give yourself a few weeks buffer, but don’t panic if it looks slow at first — it might just be quietly getting sorted. All in all, happy I took the chance. It’s practical, reliable and a bit of a lifesaver when you don’t want to fight bureaucracy. If you value ease and peace of mind, it’s worth it.
Half-packed and stickerless
Halfway through packing for the trip I realised the emissions sticker I'd ordered hadn't arrived, and that feeling of unease I'd had before clicking buy came rushing back. I was on the fence — the site promised a week, price was reasonable and I needed it for driving in Germany, so I went ahead. At first I thought any delay would be minor, but a fortnight passed and nothing. Messaging via WhatsApp felt pointless; replies were vague — 'might arrive sometime' or 'could be returned' — no offer to re-send or refund. So my initial doubts never really went away; they were confirmed. If they'd been clearer about delays or offered to sort it then, I probably would have been less annoyed. The company itself seemed alright online and the price (£14.75) wasn't outrageous, but the customer service was dismissive and delivery failed to meet the timetable advertised. In the end the sticker is useless to me now and I had to find another solution last minute. Not a disaster, but definitely not what I expected.
