neat and tiny — fits without shouting. Video quality is solid, I get clear clips day and night, and the minimal look suits my dash. Parking mode options are clever, though they need a hardwire or a battery pack, so that's a bit of faff. After a few weeks the parking mode started acting like a grumpy cat — intermittent, odd triggers. I opened a support ticket and Cassie replied straight away. Not instant miracles, but a calm, step‑by‑step fix, a couple of firmware updates and some patience from both sides. Now it's behaving how I set it up. I'm relieved and quite pleased, actually. Proper thanks to the team for being helpful and quick. Would recommend, on balance.
Right kit, wrong delivery
Bought this BP100 as I needed a proper battery for parking mode on our family car. I was uneasy before ordering — reviews were mixed and shipping from the Benelux store looked slow — and those worries turned out not to be entirely baseless. The package took weeks. When it finally arrived it wasn't the BP100 but an expansion battery. Support admitted the mistake and asked me to return it before they'd send the correct unit. Fine, except the return label they gave had to be printed and dropped at a DHL point. I don't have a printer and asked for a pickup or alternative. They declined. I had to cajole a mate to print the label and pay for a bus to drop it off. Annoying. Eventually, after the extra faff, the real BP100 arrived and it works exactly as needed. So I'm glad the product itself is good and it does what I wanted. But the service and delivery process really let the experience down.
Lost parcel, sorted quick
bought an A229 Pro for my daily commute and weekends in the motorhome. The unit itself is solid — not fancy but does what it should, clear footage, tidy build. The GPS mount I ordered to swap between car and motorhome seemed to vanish in transit though, which annoyed me. I emailed support and they replied within a day, asked me to wait a reasonable window, then when that passed they sent a replacement the next day. It actually turned up inside a week. Not flawless — lost parcel was a hassle — but the way they handled it made up for it. Friendly rep (Josie) kept me in the loop, which matters.
Helped more than I expected
Pulling into the car park, I realised my ancient dashcam had finally packed in — the LED wouldn’t even blink. I’d been meaning to replace it for ages because I do a lot of driving for work and needed something reliable, not another faff after a bad swap last time. I emailed Viofo support on a whim, honestly expecting the usual runaround since the model was discontinued and out of warranty. Instead they came back within a day, really listened, and kept checking in while I weighed options. That responsiveness was the thing that stood out — quick replies, practical advice, and they even suggested a modestly cheaper replacement that actually fits my needs. It felt like someone doing the right thing, not just ticking boxes. I’m relieved and a bit chuffed; the new camera’s doing the job and the whole process was smoother than I’d dared hope. Small details, like follow-up notes, made the difference.
Small victory thanks to Josie
Funny little story — I bought a new car and realised my dashcam needed a new adhesive pad. Their site sells replacements for £4.99, which felt a bit steep just because I changed windscreens, so I called. Josie was the person who dealt with me and she was patient and sensible; at first she pointed me to the online listing, but after I explained she made an exception and posted two stickers to me. That extra step really made a difference — saved me faffing and felt like decent customer care. I'm glad it worked out, though I still think charging for a single pad in that situation is a bit tight; I'd have paid a quid or two, not nearly five. Overall pleased and thankful for the help, just hope they rethink the replacement policy so others don't have to argue to get a simple fix.
