Not worth the risk, sadly 1 April 2026

I'd give it a firm no. A mate had mentioned this e-bike and I saw it on an online ad, so I thought I'd try it — looked smart and felt light at first, which was the only pleasant surprise. But the problems started piling up and the little positives just weren’t enough to save it. The battery had no proper safety certification label (no UL or similar) so right away I was uncomfortable charging it in the flat — felt like a fire risk. Then after maybe 40 rides the battery simply died. Gone. Completely. Customer support wouldn’t touch a rear tyre repair either, claiming they'd avoid messing with anything near the motor because of liability, which left me stranded more than once. They quote 25 mph and a 40-mile range. In reality I only ever hit about 15 mph and that was downhill, honestly. Replacing a flat rear tyre is an absolute faff if you haven’t marked the electrical connections first — it took me 35 minutes to reattach everything properly and I ended up using white nail polish to mark the wires so I wouldn’t cock it up again. Another scary moment: the battery is kept in a Velcro-attached bag under the frame; I ran over a bit of muffler that had fallen on a bridge, the bag peeled off and nearly pulled me into traffic when a van swerved — one Velcro tab is now missing. I also had the weird experience of the company asking for a reference number to remove my review, when I didn’t have one because the bike was already wrecked and I’d thrown it away — they replied two and a half years late and asked for photos of the failed parts. Why would I keep pictures of junk? Still, I’ll say the ride felt sprightly for short sprints and the styling got compliments, so it’s not all doom and gloom. But overall I wouldn’t recommend it; too many safety and reliability issues for the price.
