Flowers
As with some previous reviews the ordering process was fine , the delivery certainly was not . The flowers were for my sister and her daughter ,my niece, who had very sadly lost one of her twins born earlier in week .
My sisters parcel was left upside down so the ... with rose in it was crushed and broken . At a different address my niece’s flowers were crushed beyond recovery.
The lady at customer services was very helpful resending both orders. However the issue is Yodel ,why do the continue to use them ?
I will not be buying flowers for delivery from Waitrose again because of the delivery issuesFlowers
I ordered flowers as a birthday gift four days ahead of time - and these were the recommended bunch of the season costing £45.00. Not only did these not arrive, I didn't receive any tracking from the famously dreadful YODEL deliveries (why does ANYONE use this so called 'service') until a day late so I had no idea that these had not arrived. I phoned customer services at Waitrose who were defensive rather than helpful and kept saying there were 'operational problems' - which I really don't care about and aren't my problems. Not being warned there was an issue (customer services insisted that they were told all customers would be emailed about the problem - we weren't) meant that I did not have the option to cancel the order and get somewhere more local to sort this out, and as yet I have not been contacted but I want a full refund. No point in getting flowers on the wrong day and not what I had paid rather a lot for. What has happened to the once brilliant services provided by John Lewis and Waitrose. I no longer trust them and will never order from here again
Same day flowers
Ordering was really easy, pick the flowers, pick the date (easy because it was the same day) Paid a little extra for the lateness of the order after I forgot my friends birthday after I lost track of the days following the bank holiday, but thought this would save the day…. it didn't.
I received an email after the same day cut off, stating that they'd allegedly tried calling (even though my phone was by my side with full signal all day and I'd had 0 calls) but the florist had said she didn't have the colour flowers of the bouquet I'd requested so would send an upgrade tomorrow despite the ad stating that the image was for representation only and an alternative may be sent? My friend only had her birthday off and works really long hours, so the next day, she wouldn't be in to receive any flowers, so I had to cancel. Sadly the timing of the email meant I couldn't even go elsewhere. Really really disappointed. Yes, Waitrose customer service was good and refunded straight away, BUT it took a long time for them to reply to me and the whole purpose of using the service was to have flowers on the same day for my friends birthday. She didn't get anything. I've used Waitrose flowers a fair few times in the past for my friend who lives 200 miles away from me, but I'm not sure I will again if the florist they use doesn't use a little bit of common sense? Even the customer service rep I spoke to, replied that they don't know why the florist didn't substitute? (My guess is they didn't want the on the day order and that was an easy excuse?)Letterbox flowers.
Nothing wrong with the ordering of flowers from Waitrose however Yodel delivered the flowers at 8:45pm on the !st April leaving them in my friends porch where they appear to have been stolen. A birthday ruined.
Flowers
I received some flowers meant for Mother’s Day. They arrived a day late, and strangely the label on the box said delivery ‘Monday to Saturday’ so how they were expected to reach me on a Sunday, I’m not sure!
On opening them, they were wilting and some of the petals already falling off. Very few flowers too. Nothing at all like the images on their website, nor anything like the quality they are claiming to deliver.
I’ve had far better flowers from local supermarkets. They weren’t cheap I know, so Waitrose really need to up their game and look into this. I definitely wouldn’t buy flowers from them.Mothers day flowers
Arrived on time! outer box fine, flowers inside battered and mostly wilting and dead!
Mum was upset, she loves her flowers. Complained immediately, in fairness I was refunded immediately, but it ruined mums mothers day.Hydrangea in pot
Would never use waitrose again for flowers. Purchased a live hydrangea in a ... for my friend who just lost her husband. The idea was that she could plant it in her garden once shes enjoyed it jn her house. It started to die after 3 days. She cared for it as instructed. Shes a gardener so is proficient in plant care. It's now almost completely dead. I've written to their customer services department 4 times and I have heard absolutely nothing from them. Disgraceful and abysmal customer service. I would NOT recommend
Scent s rose and freesia display
Ordered flowers for my mothers birthday, specifically paid for the Sunday delivery. Nothing delivered and no communication to let me know. Only when I checked with DPD after a call from my disappointed mother did I find out that they had not and would not be delivered.
Waitrose offered to refund the delivery charges and then offered a full refund, but that doesn’t help the fact that my mothers birthday was missed and that she waited in keeping half an ear out for the delivery man until 9pm.
People I spoke to were very polite but the simple fact is that they didn’t deliver any flowers and didn’t inform me.Large Summer Sensation Bouquet
Bought a large bouquet of flowers for my wife for an anniversary celebration. They looked great on delivery but within 5/6 days they were wilting and dying even though the supplied flower food had been added. I suspect that just after I had placed my order 7 days before the date for delivery, the flowers were put together and left on one side with very little water to keep them fresh. Also I wanted a card with a message inside.I typed the message just how I wanted it laid out inside the card. I was really annoyed that the message had been typed out so carelessly in one continuous line and there were gaps missing between words. Extremely disappointing experience. Will not use WaitroseFlorist again.
Flowers
Do not place order!
I ordered flowers to my friend who has just moved house. A lovely surprise I thought. Next day delivery. Waitrose flowers lovely.
Email to confirm flowers would be delivered next day.
I would be sent dispatch email. No despatch email revived. No flowers received the next. Ruined the surprise as I had to ask her if the flowers arrived.
No
Contacted waitrose email bounced back and the usual we will get back to response.
Still no flowers.
So much for next delivery.
Contacted them again. They sent an email stating my order cancelled at my request.
I hadn’t cancelled it.
Unreliable and really don’t recommend no matter how good the flowers are.
So sad
And no nice surprise for my friend who knows flowers are coming. Hardly the same as opening the door to themHow very sad to read this. So disappointing for you and your friend.
letterbox flowers
I was sent letterbox flowers by my daughter for my birthday. When the box arrived it looked slightly squashed. On opening the box all the flowers looked wilted and that they were almost dead. Sadly I had to tell my daughter who called Waitrose and was given a refund.
I felt very bad for my daughter and decided to cut the stems as advised and put them in water with the food. I did not expect them to revive but they did!
The point of this review though is that when you send flowers to someone the nicest part is for them to receive a beautiful bouquet. Receiving a box of squashed flowers is very disappointing and completely ruins the surprise. I would never choose this service.Spring Flowers in basket
Absolutely disgusted with their service. Ordered this 2 weeks in advance for my mum, who like many others I haven’t seen for a year. I received an email morning of specified delivery and no tracking info, called 3 times and no call back and no delivery of flowers. Got refunded but would never use or recommend this florist again. How much time do they need?? Also doesn’t allow you to leave 1 star review!!
Foundation Letterbox Flowers
We ordered Foundation Letterbox Flowers for my daughter's birthday. Ordering was easy enough, and delivery was on time, the day before. We were worried when we opened the box - it was quite small to contain 14 stems and they looked very tired and a bit squashed. HOWEVER, less than 24 hours later, in water, they had revived fully and looked wonderful. Eight days later they are still going strong. This is the second bouquet we have ordered from Waitrose Florist and we would recommend them highly.
Large bright and beautiful gift bag
Packed to stay fresh and delivered ontime.
They are no where worth the £32 so disappointed as for my daughter who hag just had a baby.. other bunches bought in local supermarket were superior to mine I am so upset.Letterbox summer days bouquet
Receive from my husband on our wedding anniversary yesterday ( Sunday)
Flowers were severely wilted... four stems looked on the verge of death. Put in water immediately as instructed... leaves on these four had to be stripped as they were dead.
All in all 12 stems. Very disappointing and my husband was mortified. The rest have roused a bit in water but the bouquet is so thin on blooms I have had to pick some flowers from my garden to fill the vase.
Will not buy again.Same just happened to me with a sick friend. Got absolutely nowhere on a very poor telephone line. Didn’t want to be recompensed ,customer service terrible. Can’t get the name of a manager of course.
Birthday bouquet
I ordered flowers for a relatives birthday. They were simply gorgeous, a terrific variety of blooms and in perfect condition, arriving exactly on time. The packaging was special and protective. I received a text that they had been delivered. I would definitely order from Waitrose again.
Pink sensation
Totally different flowers were sent, but recipient was very happy.
I've used Waitrose a few times and never disappointed. I called customers service to explain the wrong flowers and recieved a no quibble refund..Thank you.Bouquet of flowers
Bought a bouquet of flowers for my wife for anniversary. Picture on website looked fantastic and at just over £30 and £5 for delivery. As it is waitrose I didn't question the quality.
What I got was embarrassing. A whole bouquet squashed into a small box. The roses were tiny and looked exactly like the £6 bunch at the local shop. It was dumped on my doorstep with all the fragile signs upside down!
Whole thing left me feeling embarrassed. Very poor value for money and won't be using again.Summer Days Bouquet
Bought these "letterbox" flowers for my partner's 25th Anniversary today, so was able to see contents and condition on arrival. To say was disappointed was an understatement. 13 stalks of woody wilted "flowers". No attempt to keep moist during transit and left by Yodel in rear porch (as instructed). At £28 , even in these times, seems extortionate for a non arrangement and flowers to arrive in such poor condition. Will be complaining to Waitrose.
Rose flowers
Worst flowers i have ever bought. Came on time however were not the ones i bought. Customer service waffled a load. Would never use again. Would put one stars but this website clearly doesnt work.
