    don’t trust them with a special delivery. I ordered a decent bouquet of roses and baby’s breath for Valentine’s Day — paid over £50 — and it arrived at the wrong place on the 14th, at a dentist’s practice that was shut for the weekend. Serenata insisted I gave the wrong address, which I didn’t, and after chasing them I got nothing useful. We picked the flowers up on Monday and they were already dried out, with only a single twig of baby’s breath instead of the fuller bunch shown online. It felt embarrassing and pointless — not what you want on that day. They’ve stalled every attempt to sort a refund, which, frankly, seems like avoidance. My advice: take photos immediately, keep evidence, and maybe use a local florist you can speak to. A shame — I expected better.

    Not great, but they sorted it in the end

    I was ready to write them off, then they did enough to calm me down. I ordered a £40 bunch to surprise my wife at her office for our anniversary — I do that sort of thing regularly, bit of a routine — paid days ahead, got the delivery window e-mail and nothing else. Tracker later showed “failed delivery” and I waited, e-mailed three times, got a stock reply after 24 hours saying they’d contact the courier. Wife came home with scraggy flowers in a flat pack box, dated 07 Apr — it was 11 Apr, so clearly stuck in a van over Easter. I was annoyed, sceptical they cared. After more complaining they offered a partial refund which, oddly, made me feel they took it seriously enough. Not brilliant, but usable if you can tolerate the risk.

    they turned up when promised but the blooms were a let-down. I first heard about Serenata from a colleague, so gave them a go for Mother’s Day. Delivery was spot on. The flowers weren’t. They came packed head-down and looked tired straight away. My mum soaked them in water and tried to revive them, but by day four most of the stems were beyond saving and had to be thrown out. For the price I expected a lot more; cheap £2 tulips from the supermarket have outlived these and still look better. I raised it with customer care but hit a wall — their quality-check window is only five days and I contacted them after eight. All I was offered was an apology and no real solution. It’s a shame because the service side — getting them there on the right day — was reliable. Not everything is bad. It’s convenient and the delivery team did their job. Still, as a regular customer I’ll pause before ordering again.

    Table of tired blooms

    I unwrapped them at the kitchen table, cup of tea going cold, and instantly felt a bit deflated. Husband had ordered an anniversary bouquet — nice thought, I was glad he did it — but the blooms were mostly tired, leaves brown at the edges, a few roses ok-ish and some stems losing petals. Delivery was punctual, so credit there, but the rest felt like a rush job. I needed something presentable because I had guests later and couldn't nip out (back's been playing up, so ordering seemed the sensible option). I didn't fancy the hassle of emailing customer service, sending photos, getting a scripted reply and then nothing changing, so I didn't bother. That left me rearranging stems and hiding the worst bits. For £40 plus I expected a lot more than a handful of good flowers and the rest past their best; local florists would've done better for less. I can appreciate the intention behind the gift, and I'm not angry at my husband, just annoyed at the company — dry, pragmatic disappointment.

    Not what I hoped for

    30 for same‑day delivery and paid nearly fifty quid with delivery. Felt a bit stingy paying that much, but thought it was worth it for the timing. Shortly after I got a link that, tucked away, said same‑day might fail in a “small number” of UK cases. If I’d seen that up front I would have gone elsewhere — Interflora came to mind, I’ve had better luck with them before.
    Anyway, I watched the tracking all day. It said “processing” for hours. I pinged the chat around 20:00 because it was getting late and I wanted to know what was going on. Later the tracker said the flowers were delivered. The recipient was told too, which ruined the surprise, and then the flowers were nowhere — not in the porch, not with the neighbours, nothing. I checked all the usual places like they advised.
    Emailing them felt like banging my head. The first reply basically said there were “problems in the UK” and to check again. After another complaint they suddenly said there was no coverage in the area and cancelled the order. No proper explanation. Oddly, the tracker still showed a delivery earlier, which didn’t match what they were telling me. I assume that was a mistake or worse, a system quirk.
    They were polite in messages, and eventually there was an apology, so I’m a bit grateful it didn’t turn into a bigger row, but overall it was a disappointing experience. If timing really matters, I’d give these people a wide berth. For random, non‑urgent things they might be fine, but for something important, I wouldn’t trust them.

    Slightly underwhelmed thanks

    for about £35 I expected something a bit more, you know? It looked a bit sparse and a few stems were already a touch tired, whereas I could have bought a nicer bunch from the supermarket for a tenner. My wife liked the gesture — and that matters more than the flowers — but I was annoyed at the value. I tried their chat for a quick word, which went nowhere, and even the credit card company couldn’t help because they said flowers are perishable. So not a disaster, the delivery arrived and it did the job, but the customer service and the bang-for-buck weren’t great. If you’re after convenience they’re fine, but if you want quality for the price, try a local shop or ask a neighbour to pick something up.

    Not what I expected

    I first found them at the top of Google when I searched for a local florist, and a mate even messaged me the link saying ‘looks good, try it’. Seemed like the easy option for our anniversary, so I ordered. Website was fine, ordering was quick — that part worked. Delivery, though, was a different story. The box arrived battered, petals bruised and stems floppy, as if it had spent the day rolling around in the back of a van. The driver literally pulled the box out and gave it a bit of a toss before handing it over. Not great for flowers, obviously.

    Wrong building, right blooms

    the blooms lasted a week on the kitchen table, so they were worth something. Bigger annoyance: having to coordinate a rescue mission because of a delivery error and then have the company treat you like it’s your fault. Overall useful if you don’t need precise timing, avoid if it’s important.

    Birthday flower delivery

    I've had good experiences with Serenata in the past, but I was let down by my recent birthday flower delivery. The recipient got in touch to thank me for the flowers, but she also mentioned that the delivery driver just left the box at the door and drove off before she could even open it. To make things worse, the box was upside down, which caused one of the stems to break due to the weight. While all my previous orders with Serenata have been perfect, this one didn't live up to their usual high standards of service. It was disappointing that the recipient had to deal with a damaged delivery on her special day, and I wish she had let me contact Serenata straight away to report the issue.

    Condolence flowers arrived damaged

    I felt really let down when the flowers I ordered for my friend's Mum's funeral arrived damaged the day after the funeral. The whole idea was to bring some cheer during a tough time, but instead, we were left feeling disappointed and frustrated. I got in touch with their Customer Service team and they offered me a choice of 30% off or a replacement bouquet to be sent out the next day. Unfortunately, there was a technical problem and the replacement bouquet didn't make it on time as promised. It ended up being delivered a day late, causing even more confusion and delay. I had expected better from this service, and I have to say, I was quite disappointed with how it all turned out.
