I was half expecting a nice, quiet upgrade to my daily watch rotation and ended up playing amateur sleuth instead. Bought what was supposed to be a Burberry BU9364 via BrandAlley from a seller called Watch & Watch — I’d already bought a BU9357 earlier and it was spot on, so I didn’t think twice. Big mistake. The new one felt… off from the moment I opened the box, and once you notice one thing it’s impossible to unsee the rest.
Nearly got caught out, but it ended okay
when I took it to the Gucci shop in London they quickly said it wasn’t genuine. That was awkward and a bit mortifying, but actually I’m glad I checked because it meant I could get a refund. The giveaway was the missing serial engraving and the little card had a number that didn’t even match the model I’d bought — seemed like a random code. Side-by-side with a real Gucci there were clear differences, so trust your eyes. It was annoying and stressful for a few weeks, but customer refunds were processed in the end and Trading Standards are involved now. If you’re in a hurry like I was, maybe get it verified first; lesson learned, relieved it all got sorted.
Counterfeit watch, refund stalled
Don't buy from them — the watch I got turned out to be a fake and getting my money back has been impossible. I ordered a Seiko to wear to work and at weekends; it looks convincing at first but fails under closer inspection. They keep insisting it's genuine while dodging a proper refund. I sent it back straight away and for over a week I've had the same line about processing today, which never happens. Small things, but it puts me off using them again. Bit frustrating, really.
Cheap feel, costly regret
I had a tracking number that never moved for weeks, then suddenly it did, but the whole process took over a month. I paid €250 for something that feels like a knock-off. I’m annoyed — not furious, just let down. It’s handy enough for telling the time, but I wouldn’t wear it when impressions matter. Also noticed a lot of positive reviews and a handful of negatives that seemed to vanish; that made me cautious and, frankly, sceptical. Long story short: looks decent at a glance, but in daily use it shows its true cost. Wouldn’t buy again, not at that price.
