Ziffit App to sell books and cd's
100% Do not trust these people. I sent a number of items and by sheer "coincidence" two of the most costly items (£9.60 of a £28 trade) were "rejected".
To highlight how much nonsense this company talks, 1 of the items was purely 2 CD's in a case and it was rejected for "missing pages". I would love to know how 2 CD's in a case can fail for "missing pages"...
The other item was rejected for "missing pieces" that they conveniently cannot tell me what. Even though all 7 books, the map, and the box were present.

Not anywhere on their site does it say that if they for some reason reject your books (which they did with 6 out of 7 that i sent in) that they DO NOT send them back and will dispose of them.
This is absolutely ridiculous seeing as how I can sell those books individually, which I would have done if I know about the terrible service this site provided me with trying to sell my text books.
I would give them a negative score if I could.

Tried to sell my books and DVD’s and Ziffit was offering a fair price yet a day later it dropped from a high offer to as low as 4p. I think that this is disgusting for books which cost £16 or more . Might as well give them away free.
There are other sites more trustworthy than ZiffitI sold my property to them- they do not follow contract law
This company is not legitimate. Don't use it. I was only paid for half of my property. They stole the rest from me despite the contract terms. Their discretionary policy is in breach of contract law in the UK. They likely get around it by registering in another country.
DO NOT SELL YOUR PROPERTY TO THEM. THEY ARE NOT FOLLOWING THE LAW AND PROFITING OFF OF PEOPLE WHO NEED MONEY AND ARE LYING TO PEOPLE.Ziffit expires perfectly valid items
Booked in a trade and they had courier collect couple of days later. Took a week to get paid and ziffit 'expired' a item and short changed me by paying 0. A perfectly good book which I could have sold through another service which I'm sure they would honour.
Have used ziffit a couple of times but will not use again. I'd rather get less guaranteed than take a chance with random 'expired' items. Zero ethics on this business.
Stay away.Completely agree. They don't follow laws. They created a contract over which they have so discretion and no proof despite the property being sent to them is not theirs until contractual completion. It's completely unprofessional and should be taken to court where judges should tell them that their discretion is completely arbitrary and their contract terms ridiculously exploitative.

Sold very good books to this company. So many they were shipped to them in two large boxes, collected by DPD and given 2 receipts. Guess what Ziffit say they only received 1 box. Have contacted both and both claiming they nothing about this missing box and both not willing to do anything about it. STAY AWAY from this kind of business

Sent a few items to see how it went. Was very disappointed as they didnt pay half what they said and i felt goods were in good condition. I wouldnt use ag9ain.
Sold Books
My experience was about as good as could be expected. It does take a little time for them to process the books, but considering COVID and the Thanksgiving holiday it really was not bad. They even ended up sending me a couple more dollars than the original quote. I did have trouble logging into my account early in the process, but the issue seemed to resolve itself. Over all no complaints and they paid me more for my books than any other site I checked into. Very satisfied.

STAY AWAY THEY WILL LIE AND SAY YOUR ITEMS ARE DAMAGED MISSING OR EXPIRED AND THEN PAY YOU A MUCH MUCH LOWER AMOUNT OF MONEYSeems quite OK - but assess its payments offered.
Easy to use service but consider whether the amount offered for each item is worth the effort.
Often not many pence are rewarded for items worth quite a lot of £s. Usually pay out to your bank account within about 12 days.
They often reject some items as sub-standard and keep them. They say they will destroy them.
All depends how money hungry you are. Some reviews elsewhere are scathing but most seem very happy with deals.
Might to simpler to cart items to a charity shop to donate and then feel a bit good that you've helped others.Unfairly rejected items
My first few trades with Ziffit went well, were efficient and clear. Helpful customer service when I had questions. Unfortunately more recent trades have been disappointing - perfectly good items 'expired' and books with apparently damaged pages, which were only tiny imperfections you would expect from something secondhand. Ziffit seem to deliberately not pay for one or more items per trade, which is both unfair and unethical - especially when people use this service to recycle and give unwanted items a new home. In the past they also lost one of my items, then found it and admitted some other kind of internal problem when I complained. Unhappy customer. I will speak to them first to try to reach an amicable solution but considering not using again. Other reviews online seem to suggest rejected items are often higher value.
Wish I'd read these reviews before using them, I sent a parcel, at the same time, to another buy books site, I had received their cheque for the full amount, before this site acknowledged receipt of their parcel, they had failed most of the DVDs, which i would stake my life on them being perfect, some only being viewed just once. They had deducted over 25% of their ... value, A bunch of crooks.
