I wasn't sure a painting could make me smile each morning, but this one does. Wanted something bright, beachy and slightly impressionistic for the living room; it arrived textured acrylic and the artist tweaked size and tones when I asked — saved me a headache. Colour's a tad warmer than on the website and the texture's chunkier, but it hangs well and light plays nicely on it.
Left waiting for a big canvas
pricey, odd courier. Those doubts never went away. No sign of the artwork, no replies since April and tracker says the shipper never even picked it up. Feels like I've been fobbed off. Small relief I only ordered one and paid by card.
Properly impressed
I wasn’t sure what to expect but these pieces feel really special — heavy, well-made, colours are richer in real life and they sit nicely in the room. Communication was easy, the maker (Mark) checked every little detail which I liked, even changed a tiny thing when I asked. If you’re picky like me, give them a shot, maybe ask for samples first. Overall, really glad I ordered.
Skiers turned pensioners (sort of)
I was idly browsing late one evening and spotted this ski painting on their website; I showed it to my mate and even tipped my sister to buy it for her lodge room — big mistake, maybe. The first thing that jumped out was the green skier with a noticeably curved back — it was supposed to be upright — which set the tone. The others also look less sprightly, more like blokes in caps than helmets and goggles, so the whole youthful energy is missing. Colour's fine, and delivery was fairly quick, but the figures lost the original's grace. I paid a decent sum for it and felt quite let down, a small, human disappointment. I'll probably keep it, but check the details first.
Rushed and rough
my card was charged almost a month before delivery, I got a few terse texts from someone called Mark about timing, and when I asked to return it they dragged their heels and pushed back. So packaging good; everything else, disappointing.
