I still get a bit annoyed thinking about it. I ordered a watch and paid straight from my PayPal balance — no cards involved, that was clear. Order confirmed, I breathed out, fourteen minutes later the shop cancels it. They told me the payment failed because the CVV was wrong. Which didn’t make sense, because I used PayPal, not a card. I argued, asked for proof, and got more explanations that sounded like excuses. The money left my account immediately, so it felt like being fobbed off. The moment I finally relaxed was when PayPal intervened after I opened a dispute; they put the charge on hold and eventually reversed it. I’m grateful for that — saved me a lot of bother. I’ve also reported the case to ActionFraud because I don’t want someone else going through the same dance. I’ve had dodgy moments with other sellers before, but this felt avoidable and a bit sloppy.

the movement runs smoothly, timekeeping is spot on and the lume still works when the lights go down. The person who handed it back was friendly and handled the watch carefully, which counts for a lot. I did have to chase one promised follow-up about costs and a tracking list, and that never quite materialised, so a gentle tip: keep receipts and, if you can, ask for more frequent updates.
All in all I'm glad I went ahead with the service — the watch feels revived and I was able to wear it on a day that mattered. A bit more communication would have made things perfect, but I'm genuinely pleased with the result and would recommend them if you don't mind nudging for updates now and then.
