I had the routine all worked out: mount on the ridge, aim at the other building, POE injector, minimal downtime for the office. I pictured the weight and build, how it would feel in the hand, the heft of decent metal rather than cheap plastic, the click of the screws. I even bought a pole in advance — that’s how ready we were. So the annoyance is partly about wasted time and partly about trust. You plan a practical setup, you budget, you delay other tasks, and nothing arrives.
After placing the order we got a pro forma invoice and I paid €1037 by bank transfer. Order confirmation followed with an estimated 6–8 day delivery window. Fine. Then nothing. Lots of emails, tracked letters, chat messages. The online chat was responsive at first, then silent once I pressed for a refund. Telephone calls, the same. At one point they replied claiming the company didn’t exist in July 2024 — which makes no sense given the identical name, address and email we had been dealing with. That raised alarm bells straight away.
I’m not after drama, just clarity for others who might be considering the same product from the same seller. If you never want to get to the point where you’re imagining the screwdrivers and ladder while waiting in vain, take a moment to check more than the product page. Ask for recent delivery photos, confirm corporate registration details (and cross-check them), and use a payment method with buyer protection if you can.
We involved the authorities because there was no other sensible route left. I also flagged the experience publicly and the vendor attempted to have the review removed a few times. That alone says something about how they handle criticism. I’m sharing names and records where appropriate with officials and anyone who asks — I’m not trying to smear without cause.
So, does the AF60-LR sound like a good piece of kit? Yes. Did I get to evaluate it hands-on? No. The takeaway: the product specifications were attractive, the intended feel and robustness matched what I wanted, but the purchase process and aftercare were so poor that the whole project stalled. If you’re buying, be cautious about seller reliability and payment protections. I wish I could tell you how it performed on the pole, but for us it never got that far.
