The app looked neat on my phone during a coffee break, so I signed up and paid £29.99 expecting to get straight to the revision tools. At first it felt promising — clean interface, quick acknowledgement — but the promised membership details and access instructions never arrived. That was almost three weeks ago. Every follow-up email just bounced back an automated reply saying customer service will respond within 72 hours; that 72 hours came and went, and still nothing. I’ve had no access, lost the money and had to ask my bank to reverse the charge for non-delivery. Bit annoyed and wary now; seems unreliable.
Unexpectedly hooked
Already halfway through this month's practice and, honestly, I didn't expect her to be so hooked. The thing that sold it to us was the progress dashboard — clear, simple, shows where she struggles and where she flies, so we can actually focus revision without guessing. She turns it on willingly, does a few timed rounds and comes away smiling, which is rare. I liked that the layout isn't flashy, just tidy and competitive enough to keep her interested. My only tiny wish would be more variety in question types, but otherwise I'm really relieved and pleased it made revision feel like less of a chore.
That moment I knew it worked
I was on the sofa, half asleep, when I opened my GCSE report and proper sighed — in a good way. For months I’d been lagging behind thanks to a rough patch the year before, and I honestly wasn’t sure it would stick. Using the course in short bursts — evenings after dinner, the odd commute and those cram weekend sessions — made it click. The live lessons answered dumb questions straight away and the summaries were spot on for exam panic. I went from just scraping to solid 8s and a 9, and that’s when I knew I could trust it. Still a bit emotional thinking about it.
Avoid, but relieved I caught it early
Avoid this service; I’m relieved I noticed the odd debits early on. A friend had flagged them on a forum so I signed up — big mistake. I tried to cancel using their listed procedure, did it month after month, and even rang my card issuer. The bank managed to block a couple of payments and issued a new card, which stopped most of it, thankfully, though a few charges still crept through. Their website contact link didn’t work and there’s no phone number that leads anywhere, which is telling. I’ll be taking it further with the Ombudsman, and I’d warn anyone else to be careful.
Not brilliant, but the lessons helped
the content is actually useful, but getting there was a faff. I needed this for my daughter's GCSEs after a messy first tutor, so I signed up hoping for something simple. Problem was they gave us an 11+ menu by mistake and then went quiet — no phone, emails ignored for weeks. I chased a few times and eventually, after a couple of reminders, the access was corrected and we got a small refund. So yeah, service is sloppy, billing is annoying, but once you have the right material it's pretty clear and it helped her get on track. If you can tolerate poor support, it's usable.
