A right muddle, really 10 April 2026

don't expect a smooth ride — it turned into a bit of a muddle. I asked a few questions before I ordered and they were brilliant, replies within hours, helpful and friendly (which made me go ahead). After I paid, though, radio silence. I waited, and waited, and sent several emails — six-ish? — asking where my order was, and got nothing back. No tracking, no update, just the order sitting at "confirmed" on their site for days. Eventually, on day seven, someone replied to say sorry, they were swamped and, oh, the items were actually out of stock despite the website saying otherwise. That was annoying but fine — I cancelled. I’ve dealt with quieter customer services at other firms, and usually they at least answer; this felt like signing up for a club and then being locked out. Slightly comical, really, if your phone bill wasn’t involved. I did check back later and, curiously, the site suddenly showed stock again (one more unit available since my cancellation) — so either their stock updates are a bit daft or someone’s counting wrong. I still hope the refund comes through without fuss; I’ve had refunds take ages elsewhere, so fingers crossed. The whole thing wasn’t catastrophic — the initial contact was good and the cancellation was accepted — but the middle was messy, maddening and not what I expected. Could be worse, could be better; if you’re in a hurry, look elsewhere. If you don’t mind a gamble, maybe try, but don’t be surprised if you have to chase.
