I remember evenings when I’d be scrubbing bowls and fretting after every walk — he’d be off his food or worse, loose stools, and I’d feel guilty. Switched to this ready-made raw and it’s been quietly brilliant. It feels proper meat, not some mush; you can see the texture, it smells like actual food, and my hands don't smell for ages afterwards. Portioning is easy, no faff with chopping or defrosting weird mixes. We've tried other brands that promised the earth and left us disappointed, so I was wary, but this one's genuinely calmer on his tummy. Glad we stuck with it — it’s made evenings simpler, and I sleep better too.
When the itching eased
I remember the afternoon I realised things were actually working. My dog has severe allergies and we'd been through nearly every ready-made raw brand — nothing stuck. I needed something simple and clean because constant itching was wearing both of us out. When I spotted this rabbit recipe the ingredient list made sense, so I ordered a couple of packs. They turned up fast and there was a small gift — probiotics — which I honestly think sped up the switch from the old food. Within a week the scratching had visibly eased and he seemed less grumpy at meal times. Service was straightforward, packaging smart, and the price wasn't silly. Relief, basically. Properly glad I found it.
Not impressed at first, but they eventually made it right
an explanation, an option for a full refund or a faster dispatch, and a decent apology. I chose the refund and it arrived within a couple of working days. I’m not going to pretend the experience was smooth — the silence was worrying — but once they acknowledged the issue they handled the rest professionally. That moment of being contacted was the point I felt satisfied. A few rough edges, but ultimately resolved.
Still waiting for a reply
Weirdly, I hesitated before I clicked buy because it looked like a subscription and the total was well over £200 — that put me off. I went ahead anyway a few weeks ago, used the food the same day and honestly the quality was fine, nothing flashy but it did the job. My doubt was mainly about the subscription and refunds, and sadly that doubt hasn’t gone — I’ve sent loads of emails to cancel and arrange a return, got one reply ages ago and then radio silence. Tried to sort it straight away after delivery but now they say it’s past 30 days, which feels unfair given I tried immediately. Quietly annoyed, still hoping someone will fix it soon.
Nearly gave up, then he surprised me
By the time I realised he’d actually finish a pouch I was half expecting it not to happen. We’d been glancing at the subscription for ages, wondering if another fancy pet food would be a waste — he’s a very fussy toy poodle and I’ve learned to be cautious. First night we tried it he tucked in at dinner without faffing about, which was a proper relief. That said, I hesitated to sign up straight away because of the price and the whole subscription thing felt a bit rigid. We did pause the plan when my mum sent a UK freeze-dried brand as a gift and thought, fair enough, let’s give it a go. After a month of the other stuff it became obvious he favours Zenoo — turkey is his top choice, rabbit’s up next to try. One thing that annoyed me initially was the lack of continued freebies after the first order, but Zenoo sorted that later by adding a sample into the subscription, so good on them for listening. Freeze-dried is pricey, that’s true and not just here, but it’s the only way we get him eating properly since he won’t touch raw. Overall my scepticism mellowed into genuine satisfaction; I’m planning to move him entirely to Zenoo once he settles on the 60–70g a day he’ll need. If you’re on the fence, know it might take a go or two, but it worked for us.
