I opened the parcel on a damp Tuesday evening, half expecting a problem and, annoyingly, I was right. I placed the order a few weeks ago and only started using some of the bits a couple of days after they arrived. First impression was good — the website looks tidy and professional — but that didn’t match reality. Several items were missing. They messaged about refunds rather than asking if I wanted a partial delivery. I argued back and they refunded the postage, which, to be fair, was decent of them. The rest of the order did turn up later, though a couple of those pieces were incomplete too. I didn’t chase a second refund; I was tired of the back-and-forth. So yes, mixed feelings. I’m sceptical about stock levels shown online now, but in the end most of what I paid for arrived and the postage refund softened the blow. Would I use them again? Maybe — with caution, and only for low-risk items.
Wrong tins, odd rescue plan
a couple of friends happily took a tin each and confessed they preferred the sweeter one with their puddings, so at least the stuff won’t sit mouldering in my cupboard. I’m thankful for that, oddly enough — could’ve been worse. I’m grateful it didn’t all go to waste, but frustrated SIRAS didn’t own the mix-up. If you’re buying for health reasons, double-check before you hit pay. And if a friend tips you off, ask them to confirm the label — lesson learned.
Not quite the sugar-free haul I ordered
I ordered ten large cans of Natco kesar mango pulp thinking I’d stocked up on the "no added sugar" kind for my morning smoothies and the occasional chutney experiment — the website showed them in stock, so I went for it. Imagine my face when the tins arrived and they were the sweetened version. Classic, right? I rang customer service who told me to email; I emailed, waited, sent a gentle chase-up after two weeks and… crickets. I can’t use sugary pulp for my dietary needs, so in the end I handed the lot out to friends (who, annoyingly, loved them — small mercy). Returning felt absurd because postage would cost more than the cans, and it wasn’t my mistake. So yeah, tasty product, but poor fulfilment and nil follow-up. It’s frustrating, especially when I’d planned meals around the sugar-free tins. Wouldn’t rely on SIRAS for accuracy or customer care.
