I’ll be honest, I was half convinced this was going to be a headache. After a previous rubbish experience with a dodgy contract and a phone that died after six months, I really didn’t want a repeat — yet I needed something simple and safe for my son, mainly for school runs and to limit screen time. Buying the Samsung from the provider and getting their control app felt like a compromise, and yes, I worried about being tied in and about it not working. Turns out those worries mostly evaporated. There was a small hiccup after setup — I thought the phone had frozen, and I spent an afternoon poking around, calling support, thinking, oh no, here we go again. The tech team were surprisingly patient and helpful, and, long story short, they sorted it without making me feel daft. The app is straightforward, the limits actually work, and the phone hasn’t misbehaved since. I’m relieved and, if I’m honest, a bit pleased with myself for choosing it. Not flawless, but it does what we needed. Feeling grateful it wasn’t another nightmare.
Sorted with brilliant support
it blocks unknown numbers, only lets her call trusted contacts, and logs blocked attempts so I can have a look. Delivery was quicker than I expected — arrived in two days with tracking updates and decent packaging. There was a tiny delay when stock ran low, but the courier rang and seller messaged, which was fine.
Slow phone, odd limits — mixed feelings
you get a notification for a photo from a mate, but the picture never actually appears. You end up asking them five times what they sent, which is awkward and tiring after a while.
Locked phones, poor support — not worth the hassle
this service looks helpful on paper but ends up trapping you with crippled phones and patchy support. I’d steer clear unless you like arguing with customer service and buying extra handsets later.
