the app can be fiddly, payments took a moment to sort and I did hit one annoying pause where a recurring payment needed a nudge to restart. Still, once I got past that hump the network felt decent in most of the city, calls came through clear-ish, and messaging was reliably quick when it mattered. The interface isn't polished and the support bot is a bit blunt, yet there's something refreshingly simple about it; you get what you need without faff. A quirky bonus was a sudden signal boost on a country lane walk — proper unexpected and very welcome. I reckon a human support option and a smoother payments flow would make this brilliant. For anyone who likes a bargain and doesn't mind a little DIY, this could be a surprisingly good pick.
Mostly slow, a bit hit-and-miss
I first saw the deal on a comparison site and a mate actually told me to give it a go, so I did. Using Vodafone, Lebara and Voxi (all from the same supplier, apparently) felt clunky — downloads sometimes had a decent burst, but uploads rarely went above 4 Mbps and usually sat under 1. It’s annoying when you’re just trying to post a story or join a quick call; sometimes it’s fine, sometimes it drags. BT once came by, banged a cable and things improved for a couple of hours, then back to slow. Funny that Lebara was cheaper for the same package. Around the flat I get one bar 4G for basic stuff, others get steady 5G — so yeah, not for me, won’t be sticking with it.
Regretful switch
I wouldn't use VOXI again. I switched over last week because their site made it sound dead easy, and my first thought was "great, quick swap" — but within hours that optimism vanished. After about four days I realised my UK number was gone and I had no service at all. Someone on the phone had said my old Vodafone SIM would be overwritten automatically during porting; apparently not. So I missed family calls and couldn't get bank authentication codes, which is really inconvenient. I spent ages repeating the same story to different advisors who kept promising a fix — every call ended with "we'll sort it" and, well, nothing changed. I've logged formal complaints with CISAS and the Financial Ombudsman because I was effectively paying for nothing. Bit draining, and frankly disappointing — not the smooth switch I expected. If you value your time and sanity, I'd look elsewhere until they sort out their customer support properly.
Slow and shaky, but sometimes a late-night win
I moved to a small street near Huddersfield and was hoping my mobile would behave. With this provider I rarely get proper 4G — it's more like a sluggish 3G pretending to be modern. During the day, especially when everyone else is online, uploads and downloads crawl (I’ve clocked 400 kbps a few times) and calls drop. It makes working from home and following maps while out a bit fiddly. What surprised me, oddly, is that after midnight things often pick up; enough to stream an episode without buffering, so there is that. Customer support mostly feels scripted; I’m asked the same questions twice and sometimes the suggested steps are exactly what I already tried. But every now and then you get a person who actually checks the network logs and does something useful — rare, but it happens. Overall, it’s usable if you’re not fussed and live in the town centre, but outside that expect frustration and slow patches. Price is okay though.
Little wobble, big relief
I was half expecting a headache, to be honest — unboxed the Pixel while making tea and thought “this might not be for me”, so I sent it back via PayPal Credit. I’ll admit I was a bit jittery because I’ve had one or two poor return experiences with other firms, but this time things actually turned out better than I dared hope. The parcel arrived and was signed for, I tracked it and kept that proof, then rang them up because I hadn’t had an auto-confirmation. At first there was a bit of back-and-forth (yes, that old waiting game), but then a calm agent took over, dug into the notes, emailed me the return chat as promised and said the refund would appear within days. That was the moment I relaxed — when the money landed a few days later and the agent even gave a small credit for the hassle. It felt oddly refreshing to be pleasantly surprised. So, despite the slight wobble at the start, the whole thing was handled well in the end. Would I buy again? Yep. Proper relief and a nice reminder that not every company drops the ball.
Awful support, SIM partially useless
I wouldn’t trust this VOXI PAYG SIM if you need reliable mobile data. I bought it at the Vodafone shop in Epsom when I was back over Christmas because I needed a quick line for maps and calls after returning to the UK this September. I topped up £10 online and, weirdly, calls and texts worked straight away — that was a bit of a relief — but mobile internet never came on.
So I get in touch with VOXI and they tell me the number is registered to someone else, even though the SIM is physically in my phone. They won’t help and punt me back to the shop. Went back to the shop — the same place that sold it — and the guy said it’s VOXI’s problem and wouldn’t touch it, despite sitting under a big VOXI poster. I called 191 like they suggested; the automated system asks for the number, plays a message to contact VOXI, then drops the call. Chat support loops me round to the start.
Result: £10 gone, time wasted, and a ridiculous runaround. Slightly surprised the SIM did let me call and text though — at least that part worked — but overall a frustrating experience.Small win, big headache
the notification itself was prompt (so points for being on top of things), and the app did let me leave a callback request even if it didn’t really work. I’m not angry, just a bit bemused that it’s so hard to give someone your money. If you’re reading this and want a tip: take screenshots, have your card details ready and, if possible, try a desktop browser where the site sometimes reveals more options. I’d like them to hire a real person for at least a chunk of support hours — bots are fine for basics, but not when you need a human to explain why a payment didn’t go through. Overall I’d use them again if they improve the customer contact side; delivery of messages is good, but the human follow‑up needs work.
SIM card purchase
I've been using this SIM card for absolutely ages, you know, a whole 5 years! I really love it, it's amazing. The data seems to last forever, it's like magic! Unfortunately, I've had to say goodbye because now I have to start paying for my phone every month. It's kind of like breaking up with your best friend, isn't it? The customer service is fantastic too, I've never had any problems they couldn't sort out. I'll really miss you, SIM card, you were like my little baby 🥺❤️
Mobile network plan
I'm really pleased with the mobile network plan I've got. The fact that it offers cheaper deals means I can save money without sacrificing on quality. I've been with this network for 4 years now and I've never experienced any network dropouts, so it's been 100% reliable. I've never had this level of reliability with any other service provider I've used in the past. I'm so happy with the service and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable mobile network plan.
Mobile phone plan
I've never had any problems with the signal in my area, and I've never run out of data. The service has been reliable and consistent, which makes it easy for me to stay connected wherever I go. I would definitely recommend this mobile phone plan to anyone who wants a reliable network. The pricing is also really competitive, especially when compared to other networks where you could end up paying more than double for a similar plan. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience using this mobile phone plan.
Upgrading sim card only deals for two sons
I recently had to upgrade the sim card deals for my two sons. I first tried to do it online, but I ran into issues because my late wife had all the account passwords. So, I had to use the chat system for help. The staff I chatted with were nice and helpful, but it took a whopping three hours for the first upgrade and almost two hours for the second one. Now, I'm not sure if the old sim accounts have been closed properly, which makes me a bit hesitant to chat with them again. If I end up being charged for more sim cards than I need, I might have to close my account and try another service provider. Also, there was some confusion when one son was told he couldn't keep his number while moving from voxi to voxi, but my other son could.
Phone plan
I've just got this great phone plan that allows me to use loads of data without worrying about running out. I can message and call my friends all day, it's like having the whole world in my pocket. I'm seriously so happy with it.
Mobile phone plan
I've had this phone plan forever and it's great - never lose signal. I can watch as much YouTube as I like without fretting about data running out. Don't even have to mess with the dodgy WiFi in my flat, just use my data. And all my friends I've shared it with are big fans. When I first signed up, I was worried it might be a con, but turns out it's legit. They're honest and actually deliver what they promise.
Ordered phone, didn't receive it
I ordered a phone, but DPD couldn't deliver it, and now I'm down by £395.20. The customer service team hasn't really been helpful, and I'm still waiting to get my money back. It's turning into a total nightmare!
Recent SIM purchase
I bought a SIM card not long ago, but I had to get another one for when I go to New Zealand because the prices are really high and I don't want to solely rely on WiFi. I think there should be better choices available for using your phone abroad.
Strong signal, great packages, occasional website issues
The network signal is usually really strong because it uses a popular provider. The packages they have are brilliant and don't cost too much, which is great for people who want good value. I've had a good time with VOXI and would suggest it to others. But, I've had a problem with not having an app and sometimes the website is down. Even though the website downtime doesn't last long, it's annoying when I'm trying to sort out my account or find information. On the bright side, the VOXI drops thing is really good – you can get a free gift every month.
Signal issue for two weeks
This network is a complete nightmare. I've had signal problems for two weeks and they can't seem to sort it out. When I reported it, the response I got was terrible. When I asked how long it would take to fix, all they said was the team is working on it. It's been two weeks and still no signal or network. I wouldn't advise anyone to use this network.
Faulty phone
My phone stopped working, so I had to return it. But now Voxi hasn't refunded my money, and my bank is getting really annoyed.
Roaming charges in Europe
I was really let down when I found out that Voxi had started making me pay extra for using my phone in Europe without giving me a heads-up beforehand. It was a right pain and got me thinking about whether I should stick with them or not. I think it's important for companies to be upfront about any changes to their rules that might impact their customers.
phone service
As a customer of this phone service, I've found their prices to be really competitive. Being able to switch tariffs easily to fit my needs has been so handy. And not having to pay a fixed fee each month is a big bonus if you're trying to save on your phone bill. All in all, I'm happy with the service I've received.
