Strangely, the whole thing felt less hassle than I braced for. I found CarBrain after poking around a few sites and reading reviews, even checked the BBB out of habit. Filling the online form was quick and within minutes Kevin replied — proper prompt. I was nervous, really nervous, and he kept being patient which helps a lot when you’re dealing with selling a car you still use every day. He was clear about what photos they'd need and kept saying "the more pics, the better", which felt a bit repetitive but fair. The first offer was a touch low so I sent a counter; they accepted without drama. Paperwork was straightforward — I scanned the licence and title and they scheduled a pickup for the next morning. They turned up on time with a cheque, everything signed off, no hidden fuss. If I had to be picky, I’d have liked a bit more transparency about valuation earlier on, but all in all it was efficient and practical. The money has already gone towards commuter costs, so relieved and quietly pleased.
Small worry, big relief

When the tow lorry turned up late he apologised (even though it wasn’t his outfit) and immediately rang them, talked me through what to do by the kerb and checked payment had come through. After pickup there were a couple of streaks on the drive and he even suggested a simple way to clean them off. Felt like someone had my back the whole time. If you’re sceptical, take the calls and respond — it genuinely helps.
