Recent car repair after failed MOT
My recent experience with Fixter was a bit different this time. My car failed its MOT, got the defects fixed, but had a few other issues crop up. Thanks to Fixter's excellent service, especially Ameer's, all the problems were sorted out quickly. I was really impressed by their professionalism and commitment to making sure my car was tip-top. This week I had my BMW X3 and Kia Niro serviced and MOT'd by a company called Fixter. A guy named Richard came to get my cars at the arranged time and brought them back on the same day. The communication was great, they kept me informed and let me know about any extra work that was needed. It was really convenient and saved me from having to go to the garage twice - just what I like! I will definitely be using them again.

Failed MOT experience
I recently had a really bad experience with the MOT service from Fixter. Despite the cheap prices they advertised, I discovered that the garage was trying to sell me unnecessary repairs for things that didn't actually need fixing. They said things like the lights needed realigning, but I had no way of knowing if this was true or not. And to top it off, they threatened not to give me my car back unless I agreed to the repairs. This happened not once, but twice, which made me feel really ripped off. I can't help but wonder if Fixter gets some kind of kickback from these garages for pushing these extra services. It's such a shame because my car was only three years old with less than 10,000 miles on the clock when they said it needed all this work.
MOT service
The service was fantastic! The mechanic arrived right on time, talked me through everything, and let me know when to expect my car back. He returned it on the same day, looking brand new. The office staff were really friendly and helpful too, they even gave me a call to remind me that choosing a certain option would mean not getting my car back until after the bank holiday. Such considerate service!
