So there I was, about to tackle a clutch job because the old one finally gave up — annoying timing, long story — and I ordered a LUK flywheel to match the LUK clutch kit. Box arrives, looks right, proud moment, but then I open it and it’s a SACHS unit inside. I mean, it’ll fit, sure — mechanics confirmed that — and I’m relieved it isn’t faulty, but I’m also a bit miffed. Local dealer would’ve sorted me a SACHS for about £100 less. Autodoc offered a £25 voucher when I complained; I said I’d keep it, but still. Happy it works, slightly annoyed at the mismatch and the price.
Almost expected a problem

Small part, messy process
might not be able to cancel, up to two working days to dispatch, then up to three to arrive. They said it was through a UK distributor, then an auto-reply in German landed in my inbox — slightly annoying. Update: they emailed fast to say the order had already been passed to the courier, so cancellation wasn’t possible. Oddly, PayPal refunded me quickly anyway, which was a pleasant surprise — so fair play for that. Eventually the part did turn up and, when I fitted it the following morning, it actually did the job; no fuss and looked fine. So the item itself was okay, but the whole ordering and customer-service side was clunky and inconsistent.
Worth another go
I'll buy again, used it for weekday lunches; delivery slow but surprisingly decent.

Good MAF, minor branding gripe

Only niggle is the seller’s branding — they use a UK email but are part of the Autodoc group in Germany, which confused me a bit. Otherwise all good.
Last-minute order cancellation
Last night, I made a terrible mistake by ordering the wrong parts. I quickly realised my error and sent an email to cancel the order before it was processed. This morning, to my disappointment, I received a notification that the order had already been shipped, even though their website said it would take 4 days. I called the office to cancel, but was rudely informed that nothing could be done as it was already "in transit." What a load of nonsense! The parts were probably just sitting in the warehouse waiting to be picked up by the courier later. Now, I have to wait for the parts to arrive just so I can return them. Pathetic! Don't give me excuses - a simple system to cancel orders immediately would have avoided this mess. Also, the fact that the company is actually based in Germany, despite their website implying otherwise, is pretty sneaky.
