at the desk, for short coffee runs, and when I’m doing the school run — they’re not precious, which I like.
Customer service was a bit naggy at first — they asked for a lot of photos and tried to dissuade me from returning an item, which felt like a hassle. There was also a weird wrinkle about discounts and "custom" items that meant returns weren’t straightforward, and they mentioned deducting the original free-shipping as part of a refund, which made me pause. That said, after a couple of back-and-forths someone sensible finally suggested an exchange and offered a small partial refund so I didn’t lose out completely. It wasn’t silky-smooth, but it worked in the end.
So, slightly sceptical start, mild irritation in the middle, and a reasonably happy finish. If you want showroom-quality stuff, maybe look elsewhere; if you want pieces for everyday wear that don’t feel precious and don’t need flawless perfection, these do the job. I’m pleased enough to keep wearing mine and to recommend with a caveat.Half-built surprise
Halfway through the second leg I realised how neat the parts were — small brass joints fitted exactly, which was a surprise. I started the kit a couple of weeks ago, doing evening sessions after work, and my first impression was clear instructions, nothing fussy. The pieces are well packed, labels sensible, and the screws actually match the holes (you don’t always get that). Assembly was methodical, occasionally fiddly, and I did have to re-read one step twice, but that’s fine. Overall it’s a solid DIY kit, practical, pleasingly precise, and I’ll probably buy another. In short, worth the money, indeed.
Halfway through the tea
There I was, halfway through a cup of tea and nervously refreshing my bank app, wondering if I'd just handed over $400 to a mystery website. I’d seen their bits on other sites and even on AliExpress so I was proper wary, but their site had the Wukong stuff I wanted so I clicked buy. Ordered late December and, to my surprise, it turned up early January — shipped from China, fast as anything. First impression? Honestly exactly like the photos, not some dodgy knock‑off. Used it straight away and felt relieved — actually quite chuffed that it worked out. Will buy again, but still a smidge cautious. Customer service was friendly but I didn't need them.
The reassuring moment
Wasn't sure at first, buying a few bits from Coppertist — a taiji fish pendant, a dragon, knob‑tailed gecko earrings (they chucked those in as a freebie), even a tiny desk ornament. Bit pricey, yeah, but the finish is proper good. One pendant arrived with a tiny fault and I thought oh great, but their customer service sorted a replacement fast — that's when I knew I was happy. Used to be worse elsewhere.
