I first saw one at my mate's allotment, trays full of pear slices on a dry afternoon. Bought one years ago and it became my favourite bit of kit. Then I went to living in a 5th wheel and sold or donated most things. In August 2020 I picked up a new nine‑tray and for two years it was ace. The exact moment I knew it still worked was when the summer tomato glut hit — I had 300‑odd tomatoes and the trays turned them into chewy, lovely bits, all even. Properly satisfying, that was. This season I tried drying Swiss chard and some stems went dark, leaves looked scorched. I filled in the support form on their site, got the auto‑reply and then silence. It's not perfect, the machine does the job mostly, but if support doesn't reply I might try another make. I've still recommended it to neighbours.

it ran quietly, dried evenly and tasted proper. I’m sceptical by nature but now I actually recommend it; just sort the packaging and support. Also the trays are easy to clean.
