I first saw this wardrobe on their website after a mate sent me the link. It looked solid in the photos and I liked the partially assembled option, figured it’d save some hassle. I rang the New Malden branch to order it. The person on the phone seemed helpful, sounded confident, so I went ahead. The wardrobe itself feels heavy and well made when you look at it close up, but you really notice how awkward it is to move once it’s out of the box — that bit matters more than you think. When the delivery team arrived (they turned out not to be employed by the shop), they tried to bring it upstairs and the side was visibly dented. They took photos and said they’d report it. That’s where things started to unravel. Suddenly it became an “access issue” rather than damage. They said it wouldn’t fit. The whole thing was frustrating because a large ottoman bed from the same place had been delivered without a problem a week earlier, so it wasn’t like my house was impossible to get into. The wardrobe went back to the depot. After that, the depot manager and the delivery company both disputed that there had been any damage. I’ve called the store dozens of times and been promised callbacks I never got. I even went into the local branch for help and was told there was nothing they could do because it would be “stealing” from another store. That felt wrong. I’m tired of chasing them for a refund or an exchange. I don’t hate the product itself — it would have been fine if it arrived undamaged — but the handling and the communication have been poor. It’s disappointing and a bit draining.
Still glad I bought it, but need help with the bed
sitting, lying down, trying to relax after a long day. I’ve rung after‑sales a few times since January and each time I’m told they’re waiting on parts from the manufacturer and that they’ll book an installation date when those parts arrive. That line is understandable, but the problem is no one has given a clear timescale and the updates have been sparse. I’ve worked in retail service before and I get supply chain delays, I really do, but I’d appreciate honesty and a realistic plan — even if it’s “we expect parts in six weeks” rather than radio silence. On the positive side, the people I’ve spoken to have been polite and tried to help, so that’s something. I’m sharing this because it feels like a design issue rather than misuse, and I’d hoped for either a fix or an acceptable alternative by now under consumer rights. It would mean a lot to get a proper timeline and to know who will fit the support — because I don’t want a bodge job, I want it done properly so we can sleep without worrying about our backs. A short, clear update would really calm things down.

Noticed after delivery 3seater back sitting high and would not clip in and chip on wooden front leg. You have to keep phoning them as they do not call back.sent someone out to take photographs and video and agreed faulty.later that day I could not believe when they phoned and offered me £100 to keep faulty suite and I refused.I do not know if this is an ageist thing or they think I am gullible to accept £100 for suite which cost over £2000.worst customer care in the country.
Look at the facts - many (not all) are having the same issue here on this review site. Our three seater recliner was delivered not fit for purpose - the two pieces would not clip together securely without the new 'complete' item wobbling excessively. Is that purchase worth thousands of pounds? In the real world - no. We paid in good faith for the After Care package too. Doesn't help the fact that the delivery team insisted that the item does not fit together and arranged for a 72-hour after care call. Call came and we could not verify who they are and, likewise, they could not verify who I was until the customer willingly and rigorously was purged of data for their purposes of customer verification. Now 72 Hours on - no one has visited as they shamelessly hide behind security protocol and verification to avoid the issue. These are the facts.

Just lied to us found out a week later.was told delivery was 7 days so we sold our set cheap.now a 5 week delay for an item that was in stock when we ordered how can that be so.

I bought a sofa from the shop not long ago and I have to say, it was a really nice experience. The staff made sure to keep me updated about the delivery right from the start, which I found really helpful. When the sofa was delivered, two guys named Lee and Colin brought it. They were so professional, quick, and friendly. They were really careful with my stuff during the delivery, and I couldn't have asked for better service.
Mattress delivery by Davy and Bass
Davy and Bass were absolutely lovely when they delivered my mattress. They made sure to protect my carpet either by taking off their shoes or covering them up. The delivery itself was fast, smooth and really professional. It was such a great experience, especially compared to previous times I've had deliveries from Furniture Village.
Lounge/dining furniture purchase
My time at Furniture Village was amazing. Mohsin helped me out a lot with my purchase, he really went the extra mile. He knew his stuff and made everything easy for me. I have to give credit to Mohsin for his fantastic work and great customer service. It's not often you find someone so dedicated to making sure customers are happy, he made me feel important. Big shout out to Mohsin and the Furniture Village team for their top-notch customer service.
Dining table set
My experience with Furniture Village was brilliant. Ordering was easy and they kept me well informed. The delivery was quick, and the delivery team were really professional and polite while setting up my dining table. They sent me emails and texts to update me on when it would arrive, which was really handy. They even took away all the packaging and gave me an instruction booklet. I am so happy with my purchase from Furniture Village.
Sofas
I just wanted to say a big thank you to the staff member who helped me choose my new sofa. They were so helpful and really made it easy for me to pick the right one. Their clear explanations and professional attitude made the whole experience a lot smoother. I can't wait for my new sofas to arrive and I'm sure they'll be just what I wanted, all thanks to the fantastic help I got.
Bed purchase
I bought a bed from this place recently and oh boy, it was a total circus. It took them three tries to get the right bed to me, but guess what? It was the wrong size! It's like a comedy of errors, a real-life Fawlty Towers situation. They ignore emails and even when you do get through to someone, they're polite but not much help at all. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of buying anything from here to avoid all the hassle.
Super comfy reclining suite
I recently bought a really comfy reclining sofa from here and the whole experience was really straightforward. They made sure to keep me updated on when it would be delivered, and even though it was quite pricey, I'm hoping it will last me a long time. It's so comfortable and provides great support for my back. I did end up getting stain care insurance which ended up using the money I saved from the sale, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be worth it in the long run.
Sofa and dining table set
I went shopping the other day and I have to say, the service I got was top-notch. A guy called Danny Afgar helped me out, and he was just great - super friendly and really went out of his way to make sure I got everything I needed. He even made me feel really good about my purchase. I'll definitely be going back there whenever I need stuff for the house.

The team at Furniture Village were really helpful and patient when I went there. It was nice to be welcomed politely and not rushed while I looked around. I originally went in to find a sofa, but ended up buying a mattress with the help of Jason. He was so patient and even took the time to find my old order from over a decade ago. Sofa purchase
I bought a sofa from that furniture shop not long ago and I have to say, it was a really great experience. The staff there were so helpful and really knew their stuff, they took the time to go through all the choices with me. They even gave me tea and biscuits, which was a nice surprise. The salesperson, Afghan, was really nice and made the whole thing easy and pleasant. I walked out of there feeling really happy with my sofa and the whole experience.
Ottoman bed purchase
I bought an ottoman bed from the store not long ago, and I have to say, it was a brilliant experience. The sales rep, Shiva, was so helpful, friendly, and knew everything about the product. She made the whole process really enjoyable for us, with top-notch customer service all the way through. Shiva even sorted out next day delivery for us, which was really kind of her. We'll definitely be back to buy more stuff in the future.
2 seater recliner
I recently bought a 2 seater recliner from this furniture shop and I have to say, Peter and Mickel really impressed me with their delivery service. They were friendly, managed to get the recliner into my house hassle-free. They even spotted a slight mark on the sofa, took photos, and made a note to let their managers know about it. I was really grateful for their attention to detail and the great customer service they provided.

I had a really good time at the furniture store the other day. A chap called Ali helped me out and he was brilliant, really looked after me. He listened to what I wanted and helped me choose a fab sofa that didn't break the bank. I'd definitely suggest him to anyone looking for furniture.

I recently bought some new sofas and a chair from this furniture shop, and I have to say, I was really impressed with the service I got. Stewart, the guy who helped me, was so helpful and knew his stuff. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and showed me the different choices without rushing me into making a decision. It was great to not feel pushed into it and actually enjoy picking out my new furniture.
Bed mattress purchase
Kurtiss and Alan were amazing when I visited Furniture Village. They helped me choose a perfect bed mattress and even gave me tips on setting it up. Kurtiss was especially great - he really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I wish I had some cash on me to tip him, but I'll be sure to thank him next time I see him. Their service was top-notch!
New bed purchase
Oh my god, the service at this shop is absolutely amazing! I bought a new bed and it was delivered on time by Steve and Rhys. They put it together for us and were really nice and professional. I would definitely recommend them to everyone!
