Bought this as a cheap dining set for two weeks of everyday use, and honestly it's been a bit of a let-down. One of the chairs started to collapse (I weigh about 52 kg), seat came loose — not snapped, just couldn't hold me properly — so we moved both chairs to the loft. The table works for quick breakfasts and laptop evenings, but the surface feels hard and a bit rough, not that soft finish I'd hoped for. It's light, easy to move, which was actually handy when cleaning (a small surprise). No clear company details on the paperwork, so sorting a refund felt impossible. Overall useful sometimes, but not great quality.
Relief at delivery
Halfway through the delivery I realised I'd picked the right place. I ordered a dining table last week and on arrival the first thing that struck me was the weight and finish — nicer than the photos. They gave a three-hour slot, which worries me normally, but the driver rang 30 minutes ahead so I didn't have to hang around at work. Delivery chaps were polite and careful; one tiny scuff on a corner but otherwise very pleased.
Tiny bench, big relief
I was elbow-deep in unpacking when I noticed the site didn’t list the seat height — cue mild panic. I phoned and they actually checked it for me over the weekend (43 cm), which was oddly reassuring. I’d been hunting for ages for something slim enough to tuck between the tracker legs and this one slots in perfectly. The seat is a touch lower than I’d hoped, but it’s exactly as described so no nasty surprises. Now it’s my morning coffee and post-sorting perch — happy enough.
Good wardrobe, tricky delivery
the two men couldn't get the boxed wardrobe over the banister and wouldn't carry it up unpacked, so they left it at the bottom. I ended up unpacking and taking the parts upstairs myself. So, delivery doubts proved right; product doubts disappeared.
Not the sofa, but the service nailed it
he was patient, let me take my time, and clearly explained I'd get a full refund if I still wanted to send it back. He genuinely made me feel reassured rather than fobbed off. Delivery and collection were prompt too, which removed a lot of hassle. I’d buy from Oak and More again because of that — not because the sofa worked out, but because the people did. Price felt fair, not bargain basement but reasonable for the quality and service. Small hiccup that the sofas weren’t right for me, but the overall experience was smooth and left me impressed.
Solid wood bookcase purchase
I was really happy with the solid wood bookcase I bought - it was top quality and just as it was described.
