It was one of those afternoons when a delivery actually matters. I’d ordered a shiplap garden bar and booked a slot online. It turned up right on time, which already felt good. The panels and fittings seem decent quality and the instructions are clear, so putting it together wasn’t a drama. A few screws were missing though. I phoned support, explained, and they sent the bits out straight away — they arrived within 24 hours. That’s when I knew I was properly pleased. Not like other firms that ghost you.
Half a win — fast delivery, poor build
Rain told me everything I needed to know. The shed turned up on time, which was great, but once I started putting it together the problems stacked up. Only two 45mm struts trying to span about two metres — not nearly enough. The roof started to sag straight away and after a downpour water pooled and worked its way through the felt overlaps. Walls bowed out. The floor felt like cardboard, so I had to build a proper support frame and screw 11mm plywood on top to be able to walk in it without worrying. A bit annoying, but fixable if you’re handy. I’d say check the bracing and be ready to reinforce, and I wish they’d use better timber or at least offer clearer specs.
False promises, poor product
not worth it — avoid this retailer. I was tipped off by a neighbour so I ordered a garden shed for a build, thinking it looked fine. Delivery took three months and messed up the contractors and the helping hands we'd booked (two days wasted waiting for promised slots that never came). Chasing them ate hours — emails, chat, phone — with zero useful answers. The shed arrived flimsy, warped and out of line. Asking for fair compensation felt hopeless; customer care just closed ranks. Frustrating, I’d pay more elsewhere.
Odd delivery, awkward service
By the time I got to the roof panels I’d already muttered through half the build. The delivery was all over the place — the floor kit turned up a day after I’d already laid the floor, which didn’t help. The instructions were vague and the only YouTube video I found was for a bigger model, so a fair bit had to be guessed. I asked for the spare base to be collected in September and was told the manufacturer would arrange it; months of emails later it’s still in the garden. The shed does the job for bikes and garden kit and I’m glad it’s usable, but the broker-style customer service was flat and frustrating.
That unexpected shed
I first clocked this in my neighbour’s garden and thought it looked worth a try. Ordered one and was promised delivery in three days. I took time off, waited, nothing — no call, no heads up. Chased them myself. Manager was stroppy but eventually said I could have an immediate refund. Days later nothing — then the cancelled shed was dumped down the side of my house, and they said they’d only refund after collection, then denied ever offering the refund. Annoying. Oddly though, the shed itself feels solid. Panels are nicer than I expected. It keeps my bikes dry. I’ve told a mate about that bit, weirdly pleased with the build, despite the shambles around it.
Waiting game with a decent twist
I’d been counting the weeks, which sounds daft, but I needed the shed for the move and because my back can’t cope with lugging boxes up the loft anymore. The website said 7–9 weeks. I ordered, hoping for week seven at the earliest. Now I’m told week eleven. I complained. The rep was polite, even apologetic, but kept repeating that delays are in the T&Cs and there was nothing they could do. That was annoying. On the plus side the photos and the sample they sent looked better than I expected, the wood seems solid, which surprised me. So quality looks promising, but the timing messes up plans. I probably wouldn’t order again without clearer delivery guarantees, and I’m left rearranging everything because of their shifting schedule.
6x8 wooden Shed
I would strongly caution anyone considering buying from Shed Store.
I purchased a shed that was advertised as a quality product. To ensure it was properly built, I paid a professional installer.
Almost immediately after installation, it became clear that the pre made shed panels were not fit for purpose. The timber was warped and split, with knots compromising its structure and finish.
When I raised these issues, I was met with repeated stock responses blaming “natural characteristics of wood” and pointing out that the shed was sold as “self-assembly.” .
Shed Store’s so-called “resolutions” have been insulting:
Replacement parts that would require me to pay again for dismantling and reinstalling.
A refund — but only if I cover the dismantling costs myself.
I have been left substantially out of pocket and with no resolution from their team.
I have sent the photos that clearly show it as a deficit product that isn't fit for purpose, in response they have stated that there is no fault with the product and wished to refer me to the manufacturer.
Their response was to suggest going to trading standards...
The quality isn't fit for purpose and their customer service support was no help.

I recently bought a greenhouse from Shedstore and I have to say, the whole experience was really smooth. The website was easy to use, making it simple to place my order. I found it helpful getting regular updates about when my delivery would arrive, and the phone call I received 15 minutes before it turned up was a nice touch. The driver who dropped off the greenhouse was friendly and helpful, which made the whole process stress-free. All in all, I was really happy with the customer service I received. Shed purchase
The lorry driver was amazing, he really made a difference! He helped my dad with unloading the shed and even shared some helpful tips on how to put it all together. Putting up the shed was actually quite straightforward and now it looks fantastic in our garden. I'm definitely going to recommend this place to all my friends if they ever need a shed.
Recent shed purchase
I bought a shed from this company not long ago, but I'm really disappointed with it. It's only been 3 months, and I've already seen the joints shrinking a lot, causing gaps that let rain in. I had to fix it myself by taking off some panels and fixing the door. When I contacted the company for help, they just told me to use wood filler. I won't be buying from them again.
Pent infills wrong size, waiting to finish shed
We were gutted to discover that the pent infills were the wrong size when we were going through them all. Now we've got to wait, possibly up to a week, to finish the shed which is really annoying. And to top it off, we're not even sure if the door is up to scratch. It left us feeling pretty disappointed overall. But on the bright side, the delivery guy was really nice and gave great service.
Shed purchase
I bought a shed from this company not long ago and I've been really happy with the service so far. The delivery tracking system is really good and the drivers were quick and nice. Even though the shed hasn't been put together yet, I'm really pleased with the quality of the parts.
Fence Panels
The fence panels I ordered came in great condition. The delivery driver was really friendly and helpful, they even gave me a call before arriving and put the panels on my drive. Overall, I'm really happy with the service. Cheers.
Large wooden shed with 25-year guarantee
I recently got myself a big wooden shed from this company that comes with a 25-year guarantee, and I must say, the whole process was brilliant. Their website was easy to use, full of helpful information about the products, and the prices were unbeatable. I got such a great deal on a large shed, much cheaper than what I saw on other sites for smaller ones. It was a real bargain! I definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for high-quality outdoor storage options.
Flat pack shed purchase

Sheds assembly
I bought a shed assembly from this company not long ago and, to be honest, I ran into quite a few warped pieces. The door was also warped and had a split in it, making the whole thing look a bit shabby. Luckily, my son is pretty good with his hands and managed to fix it up a bit.
