I've always been happy with the plants I get from this company. They're always in good condition and packaged well. But, I've had a few problems with the delivery. Even though I tell them where to leave the parcel, the delivery company tends to ignore my instructions and leaves the plants in awkward spots. This has led to some damage to the plants before, which is a shame. I'm hoping they can sort this out in the future for a smoother delivery process.
Plants
I recently bought some plants from this company and got sent the wrong ones. But, after a quick call to customer service, they sorted it out straight away. When the right plants came, I was really impressed with how good they were and how well they were packaged. I'd definitely think about using this company again.
Plants, weak, customer service
This year, I've bought quite a few plants from this company. Usually, I would've given them top marks for their products and services. However, this year has been a bit disappointing. Some of the younger plants they sent me were quite fragile and spindly, unlike before when everything thrived. Sadly, many of these plants haven't lasted long in my garden. I can only guess that the weather, especially the lack of sunshine here in Scotland, might have affected their health. When I contacted their customer service about this problem, it took them over a week to get back to me. On a more cheerful note, the dahlia tubers I bought are doing really well. They're flourishing, unlike our economy, which I hope will improve soon.
Plants were disappointing
The delivery went really well and the staff in the office were lovely, but I was a bit disappointed with the plants. The Salvia Nachtylinde was quite straggly and not as healthy-looking as I had hoped.
Bedding plants, vegetables, shrubs
I'm a retiree who has found a new love for gardening, and I have to say, I've been really impressed with the selection of top-notch plants available on this website. They've got everything from bedding plants to veggies and shrubs, and every single product I've gotten has been well-packaged and arrived in great condition. The website itself is easy to use and has loads of useful info on plant care and growing, which has made my gardening adventure even more fun. Even though I had a small problem with one of my orders, the customer service team sorted it out super quickly and I was really pleased with the outcome. I've already recommended this website to my mates, and I can't wait to keep adding more plants to my garden from their awesome selection.
Recent plant order
I recently ordered some plants and was pretty disappointed with what I got. Some of them, like the sweet peas and nemesia, were great. But the lavender, geranium, and salvia were a let down - small and weak, already trimmed so they won't flower this year. To top it off, the thyme and anagallis monelli were fading, and the convolvulus mauritanicus had no growth at all. It would help if the company was more honest about what we're getting, instead of just showing off impressive pictures of fully grown plants. Those pictures are misleading, as they take years to achieve.
Flower bulbs
I've always had a positive experience with this company. So when my recent order of flower bulbs had a little issue, I was impressed by how quickly and efficiently the customer service team sorted it out. I was pleasantly surprised by their speed in resolving the problem and I'm grateful for the happy outcome. I'm looking forward to placing more orders in the future. I would definitely recommend this company, especially after a bad experience with another plant provider.
Nemesia 'Wisley Vanilla' 10 rooted cuttings
I recently placed an order for a few bits and bobs, one of which was the Nemesia 'Wisley Vanilla' 10 rooted cuttings. Gotta admit, I wasn't overly chuffed with what showed up. The plants looked a bit sorry for themselves upon arrival, and I'm not too sure if I'll bother buying from them again. I'll give it another week to see if they perk up, but I might have to ask for a refund in the end.
Plants in sale
I always get my seeds from this place and they usually grow really well. But this one time, I ordered some plants that were meant to arrive in June and out of nowhere they tell me I got a refund without even bothering to explain why! I'm so let down!
Compost and manure order
Oh, I'm so annoyed. I bought some compost and manure from this place and they actually charged me £25 just for delivery! Can you believe it? And now it's been nearly a week and my order still hasn't shown up! How am I supposed to get on with my planting if I don't even have the stuff I need? I didn't even order that much, just a couple of bags of compost and manure. I feel like I've been totally conned and I'm really let down.
Plants in good condition
I was really pleased when my order from this place turned up. The plants looked great - healthy and vibrant, with not a single damaged box in sight! I wasted no time in moving them to their new homes, and now I can't wait to see them grow.
Pelagonium collection order
Oh no, Sarah Raven has been absolutely terrible. I ordered a pelagonium collection from them and I'm still waiting for it. They took my money and haven't even given me an update on what's going on. Another order I placed got cancelled and they didn't bother to provide an explanation. They're so rubbish. I reckon it's best to just go to your local garden centre, they're much better!
Plants
I received an email with some fantastic offers and placed my order really easily as a guest. Now I just have to wait for my plants to arrive in a couple of days. They are keeping me updated with emails about the delivery - really good service, mate.
The Ultimate Pelargonium Collection
Ordered using gift voucher. Very quick to take money, slow to deliver. Plants were poor unnamed plugs, really disappointing. Several bad experiences now. Look at the competition and buck up your ideas. Will not use again.
Two packs of lily bulbs
The bulbs arrived in good time-but i waited to pant them until now(March)-they are all rotting and stinking-so a waste of money-not the first poor experience I have had
Lillium regale x 6
I got these on sale so I expect them to sometimes be less then perfect but they came out the bag soggy and weird smelling - not what you expect with a bulb. I've planted them anyway but i would be really surprised if they come up successfully...
They were also crazy slow to arrive, on of the first things I ordered and last to arrive, and now I can't figure out how to review the item on their website which is frustrating.Bulbs & Clematis
Quick to take payment slow to deliver. Be cautious about using this company, advertised delivery dates cannot be trusted.
Dahlias raspberry canes and freesias
Long delivery time, but this is not uncommon at the moment.
Main gripes are that only 5 out of 50 freesias germinated; only half of the very expensive dahlias have appeared above the soil and the summer raspberries have shown no growth at all.
The dahlias that have made flowers are gorgeous though.
I will buy through the RHS next time.Bulbs
As a regular purchaser I received a catalogue with a 10% discount offer before August 22 2021 .
After receiving a £100 in gift vouchers from my granddaughter I ordered bulbs amounting to a higher amount of money only to be told
The discount does not apply if you use gift vouchers.
This is just a get out to deny anyone the the discount, my granddaughters £100 purchased a few days before should have been honoured .
It’s a disgrace.1 pulmonaria @£7.90, 10 cosmos @£11.90 £6 postage
Pulmonaria: small, poor condition with 1 flower stem only, which was broken--worth perhaps £2.90
Cosmos: 10 plugs arrived, good condition but 1 plug had no plant attached.
I tried ringing but no answer after 10 minutes.
I emailed my complaint as directed but have had no response.
