in the end it worked out well enough and I’d recommend them, but it was far from smooth. I needed a reliable mobile because I’m abroad in the EU for a while and was getting really fed up with voicemail not working and people not being able to ring me. That’s why I stuck with it and kept pushing — I had to have a phone that actually worked for work and family calls, simple as that.
I’ll be honest, the first few months were a right mess. I could text and call others, but nothing came through to me and voicemail was inaccessible. I sent more messages than I care to remember, chased via chat, email, even wrote to the CEO (yes, really), and still things dragged on. At one point my old SIM got cut off before a replacement had been posted, so family had to courier one out to me which was a hassle and cost me extra. Then the replacement they finally sent wasn’t migrated correctly to their new network partner, so nope — another SIM had to be sent. Classic bureaucratic faff.
Yet, and this is the thing, once the right SIM landed and the techs actually got into the case properly, calls and voicemail started behaving. It wasn’t instant magic — there were a few days of fiddling and follow-ups — but functionality returned and has stayed mostly stable. Their techs did a decent job when they were on it; the problem was getting them to be on it straight away. Promised callbacks were missed a couple of times (annoying), but when someone did pick up properly they were helpful and tried to fix it rather than passing me around.
So yeah, not perfect — communication is the weakest link and the delivery bits were clumsy — but the service itself, once sorted, delivers what I need. The price seems fair for what you get and ordering was straightforward. I’m sticking with them for now, mainly because the connection is reliable and switching would be another headache. If you’re the patient type and can push when things go wrong, you’ll probably get there too.SIM activation and number transfer
The SIM activation and number transfer ended up taking longer than I thought it would. The speed test was disappointing, and I found it hard to understand the customer service representatives. Plus, the responses on live chat were really slow. Overall, my experience with the service provider was pretty frustrating.
Virgin is cheapest, greatest & provide more of numbe of services than others!
Virgin mobiles, both as telecom company and the mobile company gives great services at affordable price. Their smartphones are very cool, with all updates specifications and features competing leading mobile companies. The packages and contracts they offer are more comfortable and easy for customers and also cheaper than ever.
