    Forgotten charges, decent connection

    I remember sitting on a damp bench outside the uni with my phone open, trying to sort a SIM before lectures — that's how this whole thing started. The physical delivery of the SIM was fine; it turned up quickly and the data actually worked well for maps, calls home and streaming the odd lecture. It kept me online during my stay in Ireland, so in that sense the product did what I needed. But the customer service side was a mess. I had trouble activating a number with Vodafone, couldn’t get through to anyone easily, so I switched to Three and cancelled Vodafone while still there. Job done, or so I thought. Months later, back in Canada, I noticed monthly charges from Vodafone on my card going back to October. I hadn’t used that SIM since I left. I spent ages on chat, supplying the number, every email I could think of, transaction IDs, even phoning my bank to double-check details. The online agent couldn’t find my account at all. So I’m getting billed for something they can’t locate. It’s frustrating and a bit baffling — the service itself worked, but the billing and follow-up are seriously lacking. I’m now disputing the charges and hoping to recover some money. If you need reliable mobile data while studying abroad, it’ll do the trick, but don’t expect easy aftercare if anything goes wrong. I can’t go into a shop to sort it, which makes the whole thing slower and more annoying.

    Five hours for a simple upgrade

    repeating the same details every time someone new picked up, answering the same questions again and again, and getting passed to different “teams” like a hot potato. As someone with ADHD, even ten minutes of admin can be hard, so this stretched-out routine just ramps up my anxiety — it felt really inaccessible. I’m skeptical of companies who make things so complicated; I’ve had smoother, quicker upgrades elsewhere, to be honest. Still, after a lot of faff I did get the new phone sorted, so it wasn’t a total failure — satisfaction at the end, begrudgingly. It could do with a proper streamlined option for people who need fewer steps and less repetition. If they fixed that, I’d be far happier and would actually recommend them.

Feeling annoyed and unsure about what to do, I thought it best to get some help from the nearby store. When I got there, a really friendly and helpful staff member welcomed me. He listened carefully to all my worries and troubles, and then he gave me a solution that not only sorted out my issues but also got me a better deal for me and my family. I was really impressed by his commitment and eagerness to assist. He's definitely a great asset to the company.

    New phone and plan

    I popped into the shop the other day and got some help from a really great guy working there. He actually took the time to listen to what I needed and showed me a bunch of different options for a new phone and contract. It was pretty clear that he knew his stuff and he was super patient in helping me figure out what to go for. On top of that, he was really friendly and easy to talk to, plus he had a good sense of humour which made the whole thing more fun.

    Not only did he help me pick out the right phone and deal, he also sorted out a few problems I was having trouble with on the app. He answered all my questions patiently and made sure I was happy with my purchase before I left. I've got to say, I was really impressed with the level of customer service I received from him.

    Switched from one broadband provider to another

    I decided to switch to a different broadband provider and honestly, it was a big mistake. They keep sending me these irritating messages, asking me to log in with a special password to confirm my account. But every time I try, it tells me that my account hasn't even been set up yet! I tried reaching out to customer service for some help, but it felt like they were more focused on trying to sell me additional services rather than solving my problem. Now I'm seriously reconsidering my choice to switch providers.

    Refurbished phone purchase

    Over the last 5 years, I've been to the local store quite a few times and it's been a bit hit and miss. However, when I bought a refurbished phone online recently, I had some big problems that meant I had to pop into the store three times. Luckily, on two of those visits, I got help from a guy called Subz. He was so patient, understanding, and really knew his stuff. Subz didn't just fix my phone problems, he also gave me some great advice and tips, which was brilliant because I'm not very tech-savvy. His positive attitude and respectful manner made a real difference to my experience, and if I ever go back to the store, I'll definitely ask for his help again. Thanks to Subz, I left the store feeling happy and stress-free.

    iPhone 15 Plus purchase

    The experience at the store in St Albans was absolutely amazing. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and were really friendly. They chatted with me while sorting out a great deal on a new iPhone 15 Plus. Everything was sorted in less than an hour, and I left feeling really happy with my new phone. Salma even offered to help with any questions and gave me some tips on setting up my phone perfectly. The teamwork between Amz, Salma, and Saim was top-notch - it was honestly the best phone shop visit I've ever had. The whole process was smooth and quick, and I never once felt pressured.     I popped into the shop to pick up my phone order, but ended up getting a different, much better phone instead. Sammi & Isa who work there were really friendly, polite and just nice people. I would definitely suggest popping into the shop and having a chat with either of them. The service was excellent and I couldn't have asked for more helpful assistance.     I recently bought a mobile phone from this store and I have to say, it was quite an experience. The service from Joe was exceptional, he was really helpful and knowledgeable about the products. However, I must say that there weren't enough staff working on Saturday. I know it's not the team's fault, but it was frustrating to wait for so long. I think having a dedicated customer desk for general inquiries would help make things quicker. Overall, it was a great experience and the store itself was top-notch.

    I recently decided to switch over to Vodafone after checking out their deals for two SIMs and an eSIM for my smartwatch. The customer service rep, Leona, was amazing.
